This study selected cases of peaceful unification field experience learning at the C Regional Unification Education Center to explore the meaning of peaceful unification field experience learning to adult learners and effective operation methods. The research participants were selected as seven people, including members of the Unification Education Committee, executives of the Peaceful Unification Talent Service Association, and practitioners who had experience in field experience learning for peaceful unification, a qualitative case study using in-depth interviews and participant observation was conducted. The research results are as follows. First, the meaning of field experience learning for peaceful unification to adult learners was derived. Field experiential learning was found to be effective in improving adult learners' awareness of peaceful unification, developing sensitivity to peaceful unification, cultivating awareness of peaceful unification, and strengthening practice capabilities. Second, an effective operation method for peaceful unification field experience learning was derived. It was found that planning a variety of experiences, selecting vivid locations, operating in the form of a peace trip, operating weekends for families, and operating with North Korean defectors were effective. Third, effective field experience learning teaching methods for peaceful unification are as follows. Storytelling combined with local cultural content, parallel lectures by field experts and bereaved families, mentoring with North Korean defectors, prior learning and workshop activities, thought sharing, and team projects were explored. The implication is that the horizon has been broadened by moving away from focusing on youth and studying adult learners.

본 연구는 평화통일 현장체험학습이 성인학습자에게 주는 의미와 효과적인 운영 방법을 탐색하기 위해 C지 역통일교육센터의 평화통일 현장체험학습 사례를 선정하였다. 연구 참여자는 평화통일 현장체험학습을 경험한 통일교육위원, 평화통일재능봉사회 임원, 실무자 등 7명으로 선정하고 심층 면담과 참여 관찰하는 질적 사례 연구를 수행하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 평화통일 현장체험학습이 성인학습자에게 주는 의미를 도 출하였다. 현장체험학습은 성인학습자의 평화통일 인지력 향상, 평화통일 감수성 발현, 평화통일 의식 함양, 실천 역량을 강화하는데 효과적인 것을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 평화통일 현장체험학습의 효과적인 운영 방법을 도 출하였다. 다채롭게 경험하는 기획, 생생한 장소 선정, 평화기행 형태 운영, 가족 단위 주말 운영, 북한이탈주 민과 함께하는 운영이 효과적인 것을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 효과적인 평화통일 현장체험학습 교수법은 다음과 같다. 지역 문화콘텐츠와 융합한 스토리텔링, 현장 전문가 및 유족 강의 병행, 북한이탈주민과 함께하는 멘토 링, 선행학습과 워크숍 활동, 생각 공유, 팀별 프로젝트로 탐색 되었다. 시사점은 청소년 위주에서 벗어나 성인 학습자까지 연구함으로써 지평을 넓혔다는데 있다.
