This study attempted to examine, focusing on homidide offenders, whether the experience of childhood abuse and the experience of interpersonal violence, among the various factors that lead criminals to commit crimes, have a significant impact on the accumulation of crimes during their lifetime. After reviewing existing research results and theoretical background, a study was conducted targeting inmates currently serving sentences for homicide offenders. In particular, this study attempted to examine the pure influence between the independent and dependent variables by inputting the age at which the child was first booked by the police at a young age as a covariate. As a result of the study, the experience of being abused was found to have a significant impact on both the number of criminal acts and the number of similar crimes, and it was confirmed that the more severe the experience of being abused, the greater the impact. Experience of victimization of interpersonal violence did not have a significant effect on the number of criminal acts, but it was found to have a significant effect on the number of similar crimes. It was confirmed that the more serious the experience of victimization of interpersonal violence was, the more it affected the number of similar crimes. Therefore, the experience of being abused and experiencing interpersonal violence was found to increase the probability of committing various crimes during one's life and committing the similar crimes against people. These research results suggest that the trauma of childhood abuse and interpersonal violence can lead to chronic criminal behavior. Based on the results of this study, implications for approaching the crime-causing factors of murderers and preventing recidivism were described.

본 연구는 범죄자가 범죄를 저지르게 된 여러 가지 요인 중 어린시절 학대경험과 대 인 폭력피해 경험이 생애동안 범죄의 누적에 유의한 영향을 미치는지를 살인범죄자를 중심으로 살펴보고자 하였다. 기존의 선행연구결과와 이론적 배경을 검토한 뒤 현재 살 인죄로 복역중인 수형자를 대상으로 연구를 진행하였다. 특히 본 연구에서는 어린나이 에 경찰에 입건된 최초의 나이를 공변량으로 투입하여 독립변인과 종속변인 간의 순수 한 영향력을 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구결과 피학대 경험은 범법행위 건수와 동종・유사 범죄 횟수 모두에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 피학대 경험이 심각할수록 더 많은 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 대인 폭력피해 경험은 범법행위 건수에는 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았지만 동종・유사범죄 횟수에는 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으 로 나타났으며, 대인 폭력피해 경험이 심각할수록 동종・유사 범죄 횟수에 다 많은 영 향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 따라서 피학대 경험과 대인 폭력피해 경험은 생애 동 안 다양한 범죄를 저지르고 사람을 대상으로 한 동종・유사범죄를 저지를 확률을 증가 시키는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구결과는 어린시절 학대 경험 및 대인 폭력피해 경험의 외상이 만성적인 범죄자가 될 수도 있다는 것을 시사한다. 본 연구결과를 토대 로 살인범의 범죄유발 요인에 대한 접근과 재범방지를 위한 시사점을 기술하였다.
