This study seeks to draw policy implications for the future by analyzing the effectiveness of the MB government's comprehensive 6·3 policy aimed at reducing private education expenses using a Likert-type 5-point scale. The area of policies designed to provide alternatives to private education received the highest effectiveness rating of 3.52. The area of policies focused on improving oversight of private educational institutions scored 3.29. Policies aimed at establishing institutional and cultural support for reducing private education costs scored 3.20, and area of Internalization of public education scored 3.12, Improvement of the entrance examination system scored 3.08. Five policies were highly rated, with scores of 3.5 or higher : improving EBS SAT lecture services (3.60), and increasing transparency in academy management (3.60), enhancing after-school educational services (3.53), improving English education quality (3.51). The remaining policies was between ratings of 2.71 and 3.50. In the period following the implementation of these policies, private education costs, which had previously been rising sharply, began to stabilize or decrease due to government intervention. However, when subsequent administrations reduced focus on this issue, private education expenses once again began to climb. This suggests that while the policies were effective in the short term, they lacked adequate long-term management and sustainability. Therefore, it is recommended that future efforts to reduce private education costs be integrated into a broader, long-term educational vision for Korea, rather than treated as a standalone policy.
