The Effect of Storytelling on Tourism Resources and Tourist Revisit Intention

The purpose of this study is to systematically identify the problem of storytelling applied to domestic tourist destinations. In addition, since it is important to spread storytelling to tourists, it is necessary to study efficient advertising methods. This study was conducted as a focus group, and a total of 11 people participated and expressed the following opinions. It was found that tourists are interested in the unique storytelling of tourist destinations and feel satisfied with the realistic content. In addition, it was found that tourists prefer to experience storytelling in various forms and want to purchase souvenirs or watch through video media such as movies and dramas. It was found that tourists who have watched movies or dramas strongly show their intention to revisit in the future because it remains in their memories for a long time. Tourists mentioned that it is important to inform many people of the storytelling of the tourist destination because promoting the tourist destination is necessary to attract more tourists. Storytelling producers need to understand exactly what tourists expect about storytelling. It is also important to efficiently advertise detailed stories about the storytelling of tourist destinations to many people.
