In this study, two problems of the current in-flight security guard system in Korea were discovered by analyzing the current status of the in-flight security guard system. First, in-flight security personnel performed the task of restraining illegal occupation or destruction of aircraft, so cabin crew members proposed giving high additional points to more than one level of certified martial arts at the time of selection, and if this was reflected in hiring, it would be possible to carry out the practical task of "restricting illegal occupation or destruction of aircraft. Second, since the current in-flight security personnel's initial training course stipulates that it should be operated for at least eight hours, and regular training only stipulates the lower limit of the training hours to complete more than five hours every 12 months, it was proposed to increase the initial training hours to 32 hours and regular training to more than eight hours every 12 months. Additionally, various subjects that can be used in the field of the aircraft were revised and proposed for the education subject.

항공기내보안요원제도 현황을 분석하면서 항공기내 보안요원의 법적근거를 확인하였으며, 우리나라의 항공기보안요원 제도의 초기 도입 실태, 현재의 운용현황을 분석하였고, 현재 우리나라 항공기내 보안요원제도의 문제점 두가지를 발굴하였다. 첫째, 항공기내보안요원이 항공운송사업자의 항공기내보안요원 등 운영지침 제3조 제5호 “항공기 불법 점거 또는 파괴행위 제지” 임무를 수행하기 위하여 3가지 안을 제시하였고, 특히 객실승무원은 선발 시에 공인무도 1단부터 단계적으로 높은 가점을 부여하는 방안을 제시하였고, 이것이 채용 시 반영이 된다면 “항공기 불법 점거 또는 파괴행위 제지”에 대한 실질적인 임무를 수행할 수 있을 것이다. 둘째, 현 항공기내보안요원 초기교육과정은 최소 8시간 이상으로 운영하도록 규정하고 있고, 정기교육은 매12개월 마다 5시간 이상을 이수하도록 교육시간의 하한선만을 규정하고 있기 때문에 초기교육시간은 32시간으로, 정기교육은 매 12개월마다 8시간 이상으로 상향하는 것을 제안하였다. 이와 더불어 교육과목도 항공기내 현장에서 활용 가능한 다양한 과목으로 수정하여 제안하였다.
