The purpose of this study is to suggest desirable tasks for liberal arts education through the concept of digital literacy and related issues. Digital literacy refers to mental activities such as reflection on human identity and critical thinking ability as well as data information acquisition. This study focused on the sustainability of digital technology and liberal arts writing that previous studies had overlooked. It analyzed the issues of AI ethics such as bias issues, post-truth phenomenon, and AMA issues, and suggested sustainable AI, the necessity of AI ethics and interdisciplinary research, humanistic writing for selfgrowth, critical thinking skills, and creative problem-solving skills as tasks of liberal arts education for improving digital literacy skills. The significance of this study lies in setting the direction of integrating the relationship between machines and humans into the concept of sustainability. In addition, it provides an academic basis for interdisciplinary research and emphasizes the effectiveness of reading and writing in the liberal arts.

본 연구의 목적은 디지털 리터러시의 개념과 관련 쟁점들을 통해서 바람직한 교양교육의 과제를 제시하는 데 있다. 디지털 리터러시란 데이터 정보 습득 뿐만 아니라 인간의 정체성에 대한 성찰과 비판적 사고능력과 같은 정신적인 활동을 말한다. 본 연구에서는 선행연구가 간과했던 디지털 기술의 지속 가능성과 인문교양 글쓰기를 주목했다. 편향성 문제, 포스트 트루스 현상, AMA 문제 등을 인공지능 윤리의 쟁점을 분석했고 디지털 리터러시 능력을 향상시키기 위한 교양교육의 과제로서 지속 가능한 인공지능, 인공지능 윤리와 학제간 연구의 필요성, 자기 성장을 위한 인문학적 글쓰기, 비판적인 사고능력과 창의적인 문제해결 능력을 제시했다. 본 연구의 의의는 기계와 인간의 관계를 지속 가능성의 개념으로 융합하는 방향으로 설정한 데 있다. 또한, 학제 간 연구의 학술적 근거를 마련하고, 인문 교양 독서와 글쓰기의 효과성을 강조하였다.
