This paper is intended to provide basic data to understand the effects of oral health education projects for school-age children and to emphasize the importance and necessity of oral health education. This study conducted oral health education from 2021 to 2023 for 59 elementary school students belonging to B city, conducted a survey before and after education, and analyzed it using the SPSS statistical program. The results showed positive changes in the oral health behavior, brushing method, and time change of elementary school students after education. It is necessary to expand oral health education support projects tailored to the characteristics of school-age children, and accordingly, business opportunities and financial support for the government, local governments, and universities should be expanded.

본 논문은 학령기 아동의 구강보건교육 사업의 효과를 파악하고 구강보건교육의 중요성 및 필요성 강조를 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 본 연구는 B시 소속된 초등학교 59개교 학생들을 대상으로 2021년부터 2023년 까지 구강보건교육을 실시하고 교육 전후 설문조사를 실시하여 SPSS 통계프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 결과 는 교육 후 초등학생들의 구강건강행동 및 칫솔질 방법 및 시간 변화에 긍정적인 변화가 나타났다. 학령기 아동의 특성에 맞는 구강보건교육 지원사업을 확대할 필요가 있으며, 이에 정부 및 지자체, 대학 연계의 사업 기회와 재 정지원이 확대되어야 할 것으로 판단된다.
