This study aimed to identify factors influencing attitude toward elderly care among caregivers. Data were collected from 136 caregivers working in nursing home located in Busan and Dangjin city, from August 5 to 30, 2024. Analysis was performed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression analysis with IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 28.0. Caregivers’ moral sensitivity scored 5.21±0.61, empathic ability 3.70±0.49, and attitude toward elderly care 6.08±0.81. Attitude toward elderly care correlated with moral sensitivity (r=.40, p<.001) and empathic ability (r=.30, p<.001). Caregiver’s attitude toward elderly care in nursing home significantly influenced moral sensitivity (β=.32, p<.001), empathic ability (β=.19, p=.015), and health status (β=.19, p=.013), explaining 22.2% of the variances. Based on these results, it is necessary to develop a program that can enhance moral sensitivity and empathic ability; and improve health status in order to enhance the attitude toward elderly care of caregivers in nursing homes.

본 연구는 노인요양시설에 근무하는 요양보호사의 노인돌봄태도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 규명하기 위해 시 행되었다. 부산과 당진에 위치한 두 곳의 노인요양시설 요양보호사 136명을 대상으로 2024년 8월 5일부터 8월 30일 까지 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 28.0을 이용하여 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, stepwise multiple regression으로 분석하였다. 요양보호사의 도덕적 민감성은 5.21±0.61점, 공감능력은 3.70±0.49점, 노인돌봄태도는 6.08±0.81점이었다. 노인돌봄태도는 대상자의 건강상태(F=5.67, p=.004)에 따 라 유의한 차이가 있었다. 또한 노인돌봄태도는 도덕적 민감성(r=.40, p<.001), 공감능력(r=.30, p<.001)과 양의 상관 관계를 보였다. 노인요양시설 요양보호사의 노인돌봄태도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 도덕적 민감성(β=.32, p<.001), 공 감능력(β=.19, p=.015), 건강상태(β=.19, p=.013)로 이들 변수의 설명력은 22.2%였다(F=13.83, p<.001). 이와 같은 연구결과를 바탕으로 노인요양시설 요양보호사의 노인돌봄태도 향상을 위해 도덕적 민감성과 공감능력을 강화하고 건강상태를 증진할 수 있는 프로그램 개발과 적용이 필요하다.
