This study was conducted as a pre-experimental study to analyze the effects of a hospice nursing course on nursing students' knowledge and attitudes towards pain management, attitudes towards end-of-life care, and confidence in hospice palliative care. The study participants were 94 third-year students of a nursing college, and data were collected in August and December 2021. The data were investigated through a structured questionnaire to investigate the verification variable measurement tool and demographic and major-related characteristics. The collected data were analyzed using frequency analysis and paired t-test using SPSS 19.0. The results showed that after receiving hospice palliative care education, the nursing students’ knowledge and attitudes towards pain management (t=-17.41, p<.001), attitudes towards end-of-life care (t=-7.31, p<.001), and confidence in hospice palliative care (t=-4.05, p<.001) improved significantly. Based on these findings, it is recommended that hospice palliative care education be expanded as part of the regular curriculum in nursing colleges.

본 연구는 호스피스간호 수업을 통한 간호대학생의 통증관리 지식 및 태도, 임종간호태도 및 호스피스완 화간호에 대한 자신감 향상효과를 분석하고자 수행된 원시실험연구이다. 연구대상자는 일개 간호대학 3학년 재학 생 94명이었으며, 2021년 8월과 12월에 자료를 수집하였다. 자료는 구조화된 설문지를 통하여 통증관리 지식과 태 도, 임종간호태도 및 호스피스완화간호에 대한 자신감과 인구사회학적 및 전공 관련 특성을 조사하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 19.0을 이용하여 빈도분석 및 paired t-test를 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 호스피스완화간호 교 육을 받은 간호대학생의 통증관리 지식 및 태도 점수(t=-17.41, p<.001), 임종간호태도(t=-7.31, p<.001) 및 호스 피스완화간호에 대한 자신감(t=-4.05, p<.001)이 향상되었다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 간호대학의 정규 교과목 차 원의 호스피스완화간호 교육 실시가 확대되기를 제안하고자한다.
