Objective : This study conducted a meta-analysis to examine the effects of visual perception intervention approaches on visual perception ability and daily life in children with developmental disabilities through randomized controlled trials (RCTs) Methods : The research examined studies published from 2010 to 2022 on visual perception intervention approaches for children with developmental disabilities. Domestic papers were sourced from the Korean Citation Index (KCI), DBpia, and RISS, while international studies were obtained from PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar. Selected papers were analyzed for effect sizes and statistical significance. Results : Among the 11 studies, 6 used virtual reality interventions, 2 employed applications, and 3 utilized visual perception programs. The meta-analysis showed medium effect sizes for general visual perception (0.59, p=0.00), reduced motor visual perception (0.61, p=0.00), and visual-motor integration (0.65, p=0.00), all statistically significant. In contrast, the effect size for daily life (0.15, p=0.44) was non significant. Conclusion : Among visual perception intervention approaches for children with developmental disabilities, virtual reality interventions were the most common. This indicates that virtual reality methods can effectively enhance general visual perception, reduced motor visual perception, and visual-motor integration in these children.

목적 : 본 연구는 발달장애 아동을 대상으로 시지각 중재 접근법의 효과를 알아보기 위해 무작위 대조군 실험 연구(Randomized Controlled Trial; RCT)를 기반으로 메타 분석을 실시하였다. 연구방법 : 본 연구는 2010년부터 2022년까지 출판된 연구 중 발달장애 아동의 시지각 중재 접근법에 대한 연구를 대상으로 하였다. 국내 논문 검색은 한국학술지인용색인 Korea Citation Index(KCI), 디비 피아(DBpia), 학술연구정보서비스 Research Information Sharing Service(RISS)를 이용하였고, 주제 어로 “발달장애” OR “ADHD” AND (“시지각” OR “시지각 중재” OR “시지각프로그램” OR “가상현실” OR “전산화프로그램”) 국외 논문 검색은 Pubmed, sciencedirect, Goole scholar 총 3개의 데이터베이 스를 사용하였다. 검색 주제어는 Pubmed의 MeSH 용어 “Developmental disorder” OR “ADHD” AND (“Visual perception” OR “Visual processing” OR “Congitive therapy” OR “Virtal reality”) AND “Randomized controlled trial”를 주제어로 사용 하였다. 선정된 논문은 R 4.2.0을 사용하여 효과 크기, 통계적 이질성, 출간 오류 검정을 실시하였다. 결과 : 선정된 11편의 논문 중, 실험군의 시지각 중재는 가상현실 기반 중재 6편, 어플리케이션 중재 2편, 시지각 프로그램 3편으로 구성되었다. 메타분석 결과, 일반적 시지각(0.59, p=0.00), 운동 감소 시지각(0.61, p=0.00), 시각 운동 통합(0.65, p=0.00)에서 중간 효과 크기가 나타나 통계적으로 유의미했다. 그러나 일상생활(0.15, p=0.44)에서는 유의미하지 않았다. 결론 : 발달장애 아동을 위한 다양한 시지각 중재 접근법 중 가상현실 중재법이 가장 많이 사용되었다. 이 를 통해 가상현실 중재가 아동의 일반 시지각, 운동 감소 시지각, 시각 운동 통합 기능 향상에 기여할 것 으로 기대한다.
