In general, it is the view that the start of ecumenism was caused by the need for cooperation of denominations in the field of missionary work. In that sense, it will be indispensable to study the history of Korean Christianity after liberation to pay attention to cooperation between Korean and foreign churches. This paper focuses on the cooperation of churches from an ecumenical point of view, and also focuses on the process of cooperation between Korean and foreign churches, especially with Japanese Christianity. In particular, Korean Christianity launched a unification movement in the 1980s. In this process, the cooperation of Japanese Christianity contributed significantly to the unification movement of Korean Christianity. Therefore, this research paper first attempts to examine the footsteps of Korean-Japanese Christian relations after liberation. Next, I would like to examine the cooperation and contribution of Japanese Christianity in a situation where the cooperation of the World Church is urgent in approaching the unification issue of Korean Christianity.

일반적으로 에큐메니즘의 출발은 복음선교의 현장에서 교파들의 연합 과 협력의 필요 때문에 생겨났다는 견해이다. 그런 의미에서 한국교회와 해외교회와의 협력에 주목하는 것은 해방 이후의 한국기독교사 연구에서 불가결하다. 본 논문은 에큐메니즘적 관점에서 교회의 협력에 주목하며, 또한 한국교회의 해외교회와의 협력 과정, 특히 일본기독교와의 관계에 주 목하고자 한다. 특별히 1980년대 한국기독교가 통일운동에 착수했다. 이 과정에서 일본 기독교의 협력은 한국기독교의 통일운동에 중요하게 이바지했다. 그래서 본 연구논문은 먼저 해방 이후 한일기독교 관계의 발자취를 살펴보고자 한다. 이어서 한국기독교가 통일문제 접근함에 있어 세계교회의 협력이 절실한 상 황에서 일본기독교가 어떤 협력과 기여를 했는지 살펴보고자 한다
