This study explores the expansiveness of poetic imagery through the utilization of sensory images. Based on Collingwood’s art creation theory, the research analyzed the application of sensory images from three perspectives: sensory perception of meaning-making, sensory imagination of focusing, and sensory expression of reinterpretation. The sensory perception of meaning-making investigates the process of acquiring sensory qualities by mediating between the subject and the object through the body. The sensory imagination of focusing analyzes the process of connecting acquired sensations with inner consciousness. The sensory expression of reinterpretation examines the process of expressing psychologically formed images at the linguistic dimension. The research findings confirmed that effective utilization of sensory images requires: 1) reviving sensory experiences to discover in-depth images, 2) attempting to impose diverse images on objects, and 3) creating new sensory thinking through the fusion of heterogeneous images. The study proposed that these approaches can enhance the expansiveness of poetic imagery. This research presents a new direction for poetry creation education using sensory images and holds significance as a foundational study for developing specific educational strategies in the future.

본 연구는 감각 이미지를 활용한 시적 형상화의 확장성을 탐구하였다. 콜링우드의 예술 창작론을 바탕으로 감각 이미지의 활용을 세 가지 측면 에서 분석하였다. 의미부여의 감각적 지각, 초점화의 감각적 상상, 재해 석의 감각적 표현이다. 의미부여의 감각적 지각은 주체가 대상과 신체를 매개로 접촉하여 감 각적 형질을 획득하는 과정을 탐구하였다. 초점화의 감각적 상상은 획득 한 감각을 내면 의식과 연결하여 초점화하는 과정을 분석하였다. 재해석 의 감각적 표현은 형상화된 심리적 이미지를 언어적 차원으로 표현하는 과정을 살펴보았다. 연구 결과에 따라 감각 이미지의 효과적 활용을 위해서는 다음이 필요 함을 확인하였다. 1) 감각적 체험을 되살려 심층적 이미지 발견, 2) 대상 에 다양한 이미지 대입 시도, 3) 이질적 이미지의 융합을 통한 새로운 감각적 사고 창출이다. 이를 통해 시적 형상화의 확장성을 높일 수 있음 을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 감각 이미지를 활용한 시 창작 교육의 새로운 방향을 제시하 며, 향후 구체적인 교육 방안 개발을 위한 기초 연구로서 의의를 갖는다.
