For horseback riding enthusiasts, jumping obstacles is recognized as the pinnacle of horseback riding, but there are no practical guidelines for obstacle training in horseback riding. Accordingly, this study seeks to examine the limitations and solutions to obstacle education from the leaders' perspective. To this end, the grounded theory method was applied to collect data through in-depth interviews and descriptive surveys targeting a total of 7 coaches. As a result of the study, problems in obstacle education were recognized as occurring in technical, environmental, and psychological contexts, and the solutions were first, coaches' efforts, second, changes in operators' perception, and third, changes through institutional support. We hope that this study will provide experiential knowledge to horseback riders and be used as basic data for the development of the horseback riding industry.

승마 동호인에게 장애물 비월은 승마의 정점으로 인식되고 있지만, 승 마 현장에서 장애물 교육의 구체적인 지침은 존재하지 않고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 장애물 교육에서의 제약 및 해결방안은 무엇인지에 관해 지도자들의 관점에서 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해서 근거이론 방법을 적용하여 총 7명의 코치를 대상으로 심층 면담, 서술적 설문조사를 통하 여 자료를 수집하였다. 연구 결과 장애물 교육에서의 문제점은 기술적, 환경적, 심리적 맥락에서 발생하는 것으로 인식되었으며, 해결방안은 첫 째, 코치들의 노력, 둘째, 운영자들의 인식 변화, 셋째, 제도적 지원 등 큰 틀에서의 변화가 제시되었다. 본 연구가 승마인에게 경험적 지식을 제공하는 한편, 관련 연구가 진행되는데 기초 자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.
