The purpose of this study was to clearly define the idea of posthuman that have became an object of critical discussion in sports science lately. The idea of posthuman could be a totally different things whether it based on narrow-posthumanism or transhumanism. It should be a T-posthuman proposed by transhumanism that would be a critical object for disembodiment, human alienation and the loss of humanity. On the other hand, P-posthuman proposed by narrow-posthumanism should be a subject for a new way of thinking about physical education and sport in present and future technological age.

이 연구의 목적은 최근 체육학에서 비판적 논의의 대상이 되고 있는 포스트휴먼의 개념을 명확하게 규정하는 것이다. 포스트휴먼 개념은 (협 의의) 포스트휴머니즘을 기반으로 할 때와 트랜스휴머니즘을 기반으로 할 때 매우 다르게 규정될 수 있다. 체육학에서 탈신체화와 인간 소외 및 인간성 상실을 우려하는 비판의 대상은 트랜스휴머니즘이 제시하는 T-포스트휴먼이 되어야 할 것이다. (협의의) 포스트휴머니즘이 제시하는 P-포스트휴먼은 현대와 미래의 과학기술 시대에 체육 및 스포츠에 대한 새로운 사유를 위해 지속적이고 심도 있는 연구의 대상이 되어야 할 것이다.
