This study examines how the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics and Paralympics Memorial Hall and the Gangneung Olympic Museum preserve the Olympic legacy, based on literature review and field research. The findings indicate that the PyeongChang Memorial Hall effectively attracts international visitors through advanced technology and large-scale exhibitions, while the Gangneung Museum focuses on ice sports exhibitions and educational programs, emphasizing close collaboration with the local community. In conclusion, these two memorials function complementarily. For future development, we propose enhancing digital exhibitions, expanding regional collaborations, and diversifying educational programs.

본 연구는 2018 평창 동계올림픽대회 및 동계패럴림픽대회 기념관과 강릉올림픽 뮤지엄이 올림픽 유산을 어떻게 보존하고 있는지에 대해 알 아보았다. 문헌조사와 현지 조사를 바탕으로 두 기념관의 전시물 구성, 체험 행사, 교육활동 등을 비교하여 기념관의 기능을 하고 있는지 확인 하였다. 연구 결과, 두 기관은 2018 평창동계올림픽의 유산을 보존하고, 동계 스포츠 발전 및 올림픽 정신 계승에 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 평 창동계올림픽 기념관은 국제적 관람객 유치를 위한 첨단 기술과 대규모 전시가 잘 마련되어 있었고, 강릉 뮤지엄은 지역 사회와의 긴밀한 연계 를 통한 빙상 스포츠 전시와 교육 프로그램에 집중하고 있었다. 결론적 으로 두 기념관은 상호 보완적 기능을 하며, 추후 발전 방향으로 디지털 전시 강화와 지역 연계 확대, 교육 프로그램 다양화를 제안한다.
