This study analyzes the semantic information of economic terms using the approaches of generative lexical theory and cognitive semantics, discussing the principles and processes involved in constructing their semantic information. It focuses on economic terms formed by the combination of two lexical items, arguing that the meaning of these terms may have a more complex structure beyond their dictionary definitions. The study takes as its subject 6,372 words classified under the economic category in the WooriMalSaem. After reorganizing the words based on parts of speech and definitions, the target words for the study were extracted. Among compound words in the form of 'noun + noun,' the study analyzed technical economic terms whose semantic information is shaped by non-conceptual meanings. The study explores how the characteristic structures of the two lexical items are combined in a complex manner or how semantic information is structured through conceptual metaphorization. It reveals that the semantic information of economic terms composed of compound words can sometimes be the parallel combination of conceptual meanings but is often constructed through the complex combination of the Qualia structures of the words or through conceptual metaphorization.

본 연구는 경제 용어의 의미 정보를 생성 어휘론 및 인지 의미론적 방법으로 분석하여 그 의미 정보 구성 원리와 과정을 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 두 개 이상의 어휘가 결합하여 형성된 경제 용어에 주목하며, 그 의미가 단순한 사전적 의미 결합 이상의 체계적인 의미 정보 구조를 가질 수 있음을 논의한다. 본 연구에서는 국립국어원의 우리말샘에서 경제 분야로 분류된 6,372개의 어휘를 분석 대상으로 삼았으며, 품사와 뜻풀이 등을 중심으로 재정리한 후 연구 대상 어휘를 추출했다. 추출된 ‘명사 + 명사’ 형태의 합성어 중 개념적 의미의 결합 방식이 아닌 생성 및 인지적 방법에 의해 의미 정보가 구성된 경제 용어를 분석 대상으로 삼아, 두 어휘의 특질 구조가 복합적으로 결합하거나 개념적 은유화에 의해 어휘의 의미 정보가 구조화되는 과정을 탐구한다. 이를 통해 합성어로 이루어진 경제 용어의 의미 정보는 개념적 의미의 병렬적 결합인 경우도 있지만, 어휘의 특질 구조 상의 복합적 결합이나 개념적 은유화에 의해 의미 정보가 구성됨을 밝힌다.
