This study focuses on research questions regarding “What is the essence of place experience in urban regeneration tourist sites through the tourist gaze?” and “How is the meaning structure of place-making manifested in urban regeneration tourist sites?” The research targets Gamcheon Culture Village in Busan, South Korea, employing a multi-method approach combining hermeneutic phenomenology and netnography. Out of 833 blog posts related to the study site published on major South Korean internet portal sites, 83 posts that matched the research objectives and questions were included in the final analysis. Based on the four lifeworld existentials proposed by van Manen, the following themes were identified: Corporeality—‘the body’ in pursuit of hope, Spatiality—‘place-making’ through creative intervention in everyday spaces, Relationality —the dynamics of power and ‘layers of relationality’ through internal and external gazes, Temporality— experiences of ‘time's memory’ intersecting historical context and recollection. The results of this study reveal that the essence of place experience in urban regeneration tourism sites, as perceived through tourist gaze, is an experience of self-reflection that transcends time and space. Additionally, the structure of meaning in place-making at these tourism sites is formed through mutual interactions between tourists and others, particularly through the exchange between personal experiences and universal truths.

이 연구에서는 ‘관광객의 시선에서 도시재생 관광지의 장소 경험의 본질은 무엇인가?,’ ‘도시재생 관광지 의 장소 만들기 의미 구조는 어떻게 발현되는가?’에 대한 연구 질문을 중심으로 연구를 수행하고자 한다. 이 연구는 부산시에 소재한 감천문화마을을 대상으로 하고, 해석학적 현상학과 네트노그라피를 결합한 다중 방 법론을 통해 연구를 수행하였다. 한국의 대표적인 인터넷 포털 사이트에 게시된 ‘감천문화마을’ 관련 833개 의 블로그 게시물 중 연구 목적과 연구 질문에 부합하는 83개의 게시물을 최종 분석 대상에 포함하였다. van Manen이 제시한 네 가지 실존체를 바탕으로 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 본질적 주제가 도출되었다; 신 체성-희망 찾기를 추구하는 ‘몸’, 공간성-일상적 공간에서 창조적 개입을 통한 ‘장소’ 만들기, 관계성-내외부 시선을 통한 권력의 역동성과 ‘관계성의 다양한 층위’, 시간성-역사적 맥락과 회상의 목적이 교차하는 ‘시간 의 기억’ 체험. 이 연구 결과를 통해, 관광객의 시선에서 본 도시재생 관광지의 장소 경험의 본질은 시간과 공간을 초월한 자기 성찰의 경험임을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 도시재생 관광지에서의 장소 만들기 의미 구조는 관광객들과 타자와의 상호작용 특히, 개인적 경험과 보편적 진리 사이의 교류를 통해 형성됨을 알 수 있었다.
