To gain a more comprehensive and clear understanding of cognitive development within the Chinese education field, this study selected and analyzed data from the CNKI database spanning from 2003 to 2023, using CiteSpace for visual analysis. The findings reveal that research hotspots center around cognitive development in preschoolers, studies based on Piaget's theory, and research on moral education. The research timeline is divided into two phases: the first from 2003 to 2016, and the second beginning in 2017, with distinct characteristics defining each stage. The final conclusions of this study provide recommendations for the future direction of educational research in China. First, there is a need to strengthen empirical research on cognitive development in education. Second, cross-disciplinary research is essential for advancing cognitive development in the educational domain. Third, it is important to conduct studies on the specific characteristics of Chinese children’s cognitive development, grounded in the realities of China.

중국 교육 분야에서 인지발달의 기본 상황을 보다 포괄적이고 명확하게 파악하기 위해, 본 연구는 2003년부터 2023년까지 CNKI 데이터베이스에서 수집된 자료를 대상으로 분석을 실시하였으며 CiteSpace를 활용하여 데이터를 시각적으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 주요 연구의 초점은 유아 인지발달에 관한 연구, 피아제 이론에 관한 연구, 그리고 도덕 교육에 관한 연구에 집중되어 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, 연구는 두 단계로 구분할 수 있으며, 첫 번째 단계는 2003년부터 2016년까지, 두 번째 단계는 2017년 이후로 나눌 수 있다. 두 단계는 서로 다른 특징을 보인다. 최종적으로 본 연구는 중국교육 미래 발전 방향에 대한 제언을 도출하였다. 첫째, 교육 분야 인지발달에 관한 실증 연구를 강화해야 한다. 둘째, 학제 간 연구는 교육 분야의 인지발달 연구에 매우 필요하다. 셋째, 중국 아동의 인지발달 특성에 관한 연구는 중국의 구체적인 현실을 바탕으로 진행되어야 한다.
