The purpose of this study is to identify the factors influencing the formation of national identity among adolescents from multicultural families residing in South Korea. To achieve this, the study utilized survey data from 2,271 multicultural adolescents included in the 2021 Multicultural Youth Panel Data established by the National Youth Policy Institute. Structural equation modeling was applied to analyze the data. The research hypotheses proposed that individual factors, microsystems, and mesosystems influence the formation of national identity among multicultural adolescents, and all four hypotheses were statistically supported. Among individual factors, attitudes of assimilation toward both South Korea and their country of origin had a significantly positive impact. Within the microsystem, teacher support was found to positively influence national identity formation, whereas teacher discrimination had a negative impact. In the mesosystem, support from public institutions and the community had a positive effect, while discrimination within the community did not have a significant impact. The results suggest that equal contents are needded for multicultural adolescents' national identity regardless of sex and several resources are to cooperate.

본 연구의 목적은 대한민국에 거주하는 다문화가정 청소년의 국가정체성 형성에 영향을 주는 요인을 규명하는 데 있다. 이를 위해서 본 연구에서는 한국청소년정책연구원에서 구축한 2021년도 다문화청소년패널데이터(MAPS)에 포함된 2,271명의 설문 데이터를 사용하여, 구조방정식모형 분석을 적용했다. 연구가설은 개인적 요인, 부모요인, 미시 체계, 중간체계 등이 다문화 청소년의 국가정체성 형성에 영향을 준다는 것이고 네 가지 연구가설은 통계적으로 모두 지지되었다. 개인적 요인에서는 한국에 대한 동화 태도와 모국에 대한 동화태도가 유의미하게 긍정적인 영향을 주었고, 미시체계에서는 교사의 지지가 긍정적 영향을 주었다. 반면 교사의 차별은 다문화 청소년의 국가정체성 형성에 부정적 인 영향을 주었고, 중간체계에서는 공공기관의 도움, 지역사회의 지지 등이 긍정적인 영향을 주는 반면, 지역사회의 차별은 유의미한 영향을 주지 않았다. 이러한 연구결과는 국가정체성 형성을 위한 교육에 있어서 성별을 구분하지 않 고 동일한 콘텐츠의 교육이 필요함을 시사하고, 다문화 청소년의 국가정체성 형성을 위한 교육에서 한국 동화 태도와 모국 동화 태도를 위한 균형있는 콘텐츠가 필요함을 보여준다. 또한 다문화 청소년의 건전한 국가정체성 형성을 위해 서 지역사회에 있는 이웃, 상담기관, 다문화지원센터, 공공기관 등 다양한 교육자원이 협력할 필요가 있음을 보여준다.
