As we enter the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the importance of data management is increasingly recognized in the defense sector. Particularly for enhancing the operational efficiency of naval vessels, the effective utilization of data is essential. However, challenges arise due to the absence of a data management system in naval vessels and the varying significance of data depending on mission characteristics. This paper analyzes the data utilization and management practices of the U.S. Navy and the Korean Navy, and proposes a framework for establishing a data management system for the Korean naval vessels. Through this, we aim to explore directions and methodologies for building a robust data management system in the defense sector, specifically for naval vessels.

4차 산업혁명 시대에 접어들면서 국방 분야에서도 데이터 관리의 중요성이 점점 더 커지고 있다. 특히 해군 함정의 업무 효율성을 높이기 위해서는 데이터의 효과적인 활용이 필수적이다. 그러나 해군 함정에서는 데이터 관리 체계의 부재와 임무 특성에 따라 요구되는 데이터의 중요도가 상이하다는 문제가 있다. 본 논문은 미국 해군(함정)과 한국 해군(함정)의 데이터 활 용 및 관리 방안을 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로 한국군 함정에서의 데이터 관리 체계 구축을 위한 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 통해 국방 분야에서 해군 함정의 데이터 관리 체계 구축을 위한 방향성과 방법론을 모색할 수 있을 것이다.
