This thesis believes that the crisis caused by the decline in the number of Korean churches and the weakening of social trust is due to the failure of the church to provide proper shepherding, and focuses on the shepherding of Jesus as revealed in the Gospel of John, which presents correct shepherding. Therefore, this thesis deals with the shepherding spirituality of Jesus as revealed in the Gospel of John. In order to investigate this, the author is interested in the situation faced by the Johannine community. In order to reveal the circumstances of the Johannine Community, the author first observes the confrontational relationship between the Jewish synagogue and the Johannine Community, and as a result, presumes that the Johannine Community is a spiritual group that inherited the spirituality of Jesus. It is presumed that there were three major groups in the Johannine Community. The first is a spiritual group centered around Jesus' beloved disciple and Jesus' mother Mary, the second is a group of apostolic Christians, and the third is a group of various converts. In particular, the spiritual group, the core group of the Johannine community centered on the ‘disciples whom Jesus loved’ and Mary, the mother of Jesus, is presumed to be the group that inherited Jesus’ shepherding spirituality. Therefore, imagining the spiritual group of the John community becomes an important key to interpreting the Gospel of John. Some scholars believe that the Johannine community took an anti-Peter stance or was in competition with apostolic Christians. However, the author argues that the spiritual group of the John Community resolved competition and conflict with the shepherding spirituality of Jesus and sought unity and coexistence with one another in order to overcome the anti-Peter position and the rivalry with apostolic Christians. Furthermore, the spiritual group of the John Community integrated Samaritan converts, Gentile converts, some of John the Baptist's disciples, and Galilean converts into one under the shepherding spirituality of Jesus. Additionally, Jesus' shepherding spirituality revealed in the Gospel of John appears as personal shepherding spirituality and communal shepherding spirituality. The research method of this thesis used sociological biblical interpretation and comparison between the Gospel of John and other gospels. Until now, research on the Gospel of John has mainly focused on theological ideas. In contrast, I think that this thesis has contributed to broadening the scope of hermeneutics in that it newly interpreted the Gospel of John through the shepherding spirituality of Jesus from a spiritual theological perspective. Furthermore, I hope that this thesis will be of some help to the shepherding of the Korean church in that it presents a model of Jesus' shepherding spirituality to the Korean church. Furthermore, we hope that Jesus' shepherding spirituality will serve as an alternative to overcoming the crisis in the Korean church.

본 논문은 한국교회의 인원 감소와 사회적 신뢰도 약화에 따른 위기가 교회에서부 터 올바른 목양을 하지 못했기 때문으로 보고 올바른 목양을 제시하고 있는 요한복음 에 나타난 예수의 목양에 관심한다. 따라서 본 논문은 요한복음에 나타난 예수의 목 양 영성을 다루고 있다. 필자는 이를 규명하기 위하여 요한공동체가 처한 정황에 관 심한다. 필자는 요한공동체의 정황을 밝히기 위해서 먼저 유대교 회당과 요한공동체 의 대립 관계를 관찰하고, 그 결과 요한공동체는 예수의 영성을 계승한 영성 그룹이 라고 추정한다. 요한공동체에는 크게 세 개의 그룹이 있었던 것으로 추정한다. 첫째는 ‘예수께서 사랑하는 제자’와 예수의 어머니 마리아를 중심으로 하는 영성 그룹, 둘째 는 사도 계열의 그리스도인들 그룹, 셋째는 여러 전향자 그룹이다. 특히, 예수께서 사 랑하는 제자와 예수의 어머니 마리아를 중심으로 하는 요한공동체의 핵심 그룹인 영 성 그룹은 예수의 목양 영성을 계승한 그룹으로 추정한다. 따라서 요한공동체의 영성 그룹을 상상하는 것이 요한복음 해석의 중요한 열쇠가 된다. 일부 학자들은 요한공동 체는 반 베드로 입장을 취하거나 사도 계열의 그리스도인들과 경쟁 관계에 있었다고 본다. 그러나 필자는 요한공동체의 영성 그룹은 반 베드로 입장과 사도 계열의 그리 스도인들과의 경쟁 관계를 극복하기 위해 예수의 목양 영성으로 경쟁과 갈등을 없애 고, 서로 연합하고 공존을 모색했다고 주장한다. 더 나아가 요한공동체의 영성 그룹은 사마리아 전향자, 이방인 전향자, 세례 요한의 제자 중 일부 전향자, 그리고 갈릴리전향자를 예수의 목양 영성 아래 하나로 통합시켰다. 또한, 요한복음에 나타난 예수의 목양 영성은 개인적 목양 영성과 공동체적 목양 영성으로 나타난다. 본 논문의 연구 방법은 사회학적 성서 해석과 요한복음과 다른 복음서를 비교하는 방법을 사용하였 다. 지금까지 요한복음 연구는 주로 신학 사상 일변도로 연구를 해왔는데 본 논문은 영성 신학적 관점에서 예수의 목양 영성으로 요한복음을 새롭게 해석했다는 점에서 해석학적 외연을 넓힌 공헌이 있다고 생각한다. 나아가 이 논문이 한국교회에 예수의 목양 영성 모델을 제시했다는 점에서 한국교회 목양에 작은 도움이 되기를 희망한다. 나아가 예수의 목양 영성으로 한국교회 위기를 극복하는 대안이 되기를 기대한다.
