Today, the Korean church feels as if it is living in a flood of sermons, but the thirst for the truth is intensifying and even the favorability of Christianity has reached a point where it is declining. What is the reason? Various problems may be raised, but the important thing is, ‘Wasn’t the absence of a practical life the biggest one?’ Let’s think about it. In other words, due to the separation between belief and practice (life), it is not possible to prove that belief through action. This phenomenon can be seen in Christian preference surveys. The fact that Christianity follows Buddhism, Catholicism, and Won Buddhism proves this. This phenomenon is the fact that homiletic messages do not lead life and do not present a vision for the world. Therefore, while paying attention to this phenomenon, the author began to worry about ‘How can we preach with action?’ and ‘How can we prove our faith through action?’ At the end of these concerns, I found a clue through Ellul's ethics. Ellul focuses on social phenomena dominated by technology and presents Christian ethical standards. He says that accepting God's will itself is the starting point and standard of Christian ethics. Additionally, he says that these ethical standards should become the center of the faith practiced. Based on his claims, we can see that we must live a life that shows the kingdom of God through faith in practice and faith in action. With this task in mind, this paper conducted research by considering the ethics of homiletic practice based on Ellul's understanding of ethics. And we looked at the ideas he was influenced by and their background. He started from Marxism and developed his ideas under the influence of Karl Barth. In addition, we looked at the theological topic he mainly deals with, that is, Christian revelation in relation to technological society. Furthermore, we looked at the practical ethics that he advocates: practical ethics as the will of God, practical ethics as the embodiment of faith, and practical ethics of freedom as the basis of ethics. Lastly, based on his understanding of ethics, he looked at the meaning and application of homiletic ethics in practice, showed a life that prioritizes the kingdom of God, and presented an alternative as a life of faith practiced through character attitude.

오늘날 한국교회는 설교의 홍수 속에 살아가고 있는 것 같이 느끼고 있지만, 정작 진리에 대한 목마름이 심화되어 가고 있고 심지어 기독교에 대한 호감도는 떨어지고 있는 상황에 이르렀다. 그 이유는 무엇일까? 다양한 문제점이 제기될 수 있겠지만, 중 요한 것은 ‘실천적 삶의 부재가 가장 크지 않았나?’ 숙고해 본다. 다시 말해서 믿음과 실천(삶)의 분리 현상으로 인하여 그 믿음을 행동으로 증명해 내지 못하고 있기 때문 이다. 이러한 현상은 기독교 선호도 조사에서도 살펴보면 알 수 있다. 기독교는 불교, 천주교, 원불교에 뒤따르고 있다는 사실이 이를 증명해 주고 있다. 이러한 현상은 설 교학적 메시지가 삶을 이끌어가지 못하고 세상을 향한 비전을 제시하지 못하고 있다 는 사실이다. 따라서 필자는 이러한 현상에 주목하면서 ‘어떻게 하면, 실천이 있는 설 교를 할 수 있을 것인가?’, ‘어떻게 하면 우리의 믿음을 행동으로 증명할 수 있을까?’ 에 대해서 고민하게 되었다. 필자는 이러한 고민의 끝자락에서 엘룰의 윤리를 통해서 그 실마리를 찾게 되었다. 엘룰은 기술이 지배하는 사회현상에 주목하면서 기독교적 윤리 기준에 대해서 제시하 고 있다. 그는 하나님의 뜻을 수용하는 것 자체가 기독교 윤리의 출발이고 그 기준이 라고 말한다. 또한, 그는 이러한 윤리적 기준이 곧 실천하는 신앙의 중심이 되어야 한다고 말한다. 이러한 그의 주장을 바탕으로 실천하는 신앙, 행동하는 믿음으로 하나님 나라를 보여줄 수 있는 삶이 되어야 함을 보게 된다. 본 논문은 이러한 과제를 가지고 엘룰의 윤리 이해를 바탕으로 설교학적 실천 윤 리에 관해서 고찰하면서 연구를 하게 되었다. 그리고 그가 영향받았던 사상과 그 배 경에 대해서 살펴보았다. 그는 마르크스주의에서 시작해서 칼 바르트로의 영향을 받 아 그의 사상을 펼쳐갔다. 또한 그가 주로 다루고 있는 신학적 주제, 즉 기술사회와 관 관련하여 기독교적 계시에 대해서 살펴보았다. 더 나아가 그가 주장하고 있는 실 천적 윤리로서 하나님의 뜻으로서의 실천 윤리, 신앙의 구체화로서의 실천 윤리, 그리 고 윤리의 기초인 자유의 실천 윤리에 대해서 살펴보았다. 마지막으로 그의 윤리 이 해를 바탕으로 설교학적 실천 윤리에 대한 의미와 그 적용점에 대해서 살펴보면서 하나님 나라를 선취로서의 삶을 보여주고 품성적 태도를 통해 실천하는 신앙의 삶으로 서의 대안을 제시하였다.
