Given that preaching is an act of testimony that conveys what you want to say today through the Bible, which is God's revelation, the direction of preaching has no choice but to have a personal and social dimension. A Prophetic Preaching, which condemns the dominant narrative of the fallen world and ultimately aims for the Kingdom of God ruled and ruled by God, is a ministry that clearly shows the Kingdom of holy God in this world, and the element to be emphasized here is God's Pathos(情念) and its echo in today's era, and the Prophetic Preaching can be seen as a holy public act that sympathizes with God's Pathos and conveys it to the audience's heart, leading to changes in their reflection and behavior. 설교가 하나님의 계시인 성경을 통하여 오늘도 말씀하시고자 하는 바를 전하는 증언의 행위라고 할 때, 설교의 지향점은 개인적이며 사회적 차원을 가질 수 밖에 없다. 이러한 측면에서 설교는 자연스럽게 개인과 교회, 그리고 사회를 향한 변혁적 특성을 가진다. 하나님과의 관계 뿐 아니라 세상과의 관계에도 반응해야 할 예언자적 설교는 본질적으로 사회적인 행위이며, 부조리한 세상을 향하여 새로운 실재를 전하는 사역이다. 타락한 세상 의 지배적 내러티브를 규탄하고 궁극적으로 하나님께서 다스리시고 통치하시는 하나님 나라를 지향하는 예언자적 설교가 이 세상 가운데 거룩한 하나님의 나라를 뚜렷하게 보여주 는 사역이며, 여기서 강조되어야 할 요소가 오늘의 시대 가운데 백성을 향한 하나님의 정념(情念)과 그것의 반향이라고 할 때, 예언자적 설교란 하나님의 정념을 공감하여 청중의 마음에 전달함으로, 그들의 성찰과 행동의 변화를 이끄는 거룩한 공적 행위라고 볼 수 있을 것이다. 이러한 설교는 오늘의 사회적, 문화적, 정치적 현실 속에서 하나님의 백성으 로 하여금 십자가의 죽음과 부활을 통해 이루어진 구원의 메시지의 선포와 함께 모든 우상 숭배의 불법에 저항하며 하나님의 통치를 노래함으로 새로운 정체성을 추구해 나가는 실천적 공동체를 형성해 나간다.
