This study aims to analyze the impact of audio drama practice on actor training in depth. Audio drama is an art form that stimulates the listener's imagination and provides immersion in storytelling. Through auditory elements—such as voices, music, and sound effects—it vividly conveys narratives and establishes an emotional connection with the listener. These characteristics make audio drama an effective tool for developing foundational competencies such as imagination and expressiveness, but also core competencies such as voice and speech in actor training. After identifying both foundational and core competencies in actor training, this study conducted a thorough review of existing literature on the connection between audio drama and actor training. The research involved analyzing the impact of the immersive audio drama production course on acting students at the Seoul Institute of the Arts, and investigated how this practice influenced their acting skills. A quantitative and qualitative analysis of the students' surveys revealed that audio drama practice significantly enhanced various competencies, including voice, speech, text analysis, and character development. Moreover, through the practice, students improved their ability to convey emotions using only auditory elements, while also gaining opportunities to build their portfolios. The findings suggest that audio drama practice effectively integrates foundational and applied education, improving learning outcomes in actor training. In conclusion, this study confirms that audio drama practice can serve as a valuable tool in actor training, offering potential for positive changes across various aspects of the educational process. Furthermore, audio drama can be produced cost-effectively and adapted easily to various media, making it highly applicable not only in actor training but also in a wide range of creative activities. This study provides essential groundwork for further exploration of these possibilities. In addition, this study explores whether acting majors can develop sound competencies such as pronunciation and speech skills, script analysis, and performance competencies, imagination, and expression skills such as character formation through audio drama practice. In addition, through this, it aims to evaluate the educational value and effectiveness of audio drama practice contributing to acting education.

본 연구는 오디오 드라마 실습이 연기 교육에 미치는 영향을 심층적으로 분석하고자 하였다. 오디오 드라마는 청자의 상상력을 자극하고 몰입감을 제공하는 예술 장르로, 등장인물의 음성, 음악, 음향 효과 등의 청각적 요소만으로 이야기를 생생하게 전달하며 청자와 정서적 연결을 형성한다. 이러한 특성은 연 기 실기 교육에서 상상력, 표현력 같은 기초 역량과 소리, 실연 등의 핵심 역량을 균형 있게 개발하는 데 효과적으로 활용될 수 있다. 본 연구는 연기 교육에서 중요한 기초 및 핵심 역량을 도출한 후 오디오 드 라마의 특성과 연기 교육과의 연계성을 다룬 기존 문헌을 면밀히 검토하였으며, 서울예술대학교의 오디 오 드라마 관련 제작 실습 교과목에 배우로 참여한 연기전공 학생을 대상으로 오디오 드라마의 실습 과 정이 연기 역량 향상에 미친 영향을 조사하고 분석하였다. 설문조사에 응한 학생들의 응답을 정량적, 정 성적으로 분석한 결과, 오디오 드라마 실습이 발성, 화술, 텍스트 분석, 인물 형상화 등 다양한 연기 역량 을 고르게 향상시키는 데 기여한 것으로 확인되었다. 특히 실습 과정에서 학생들은 상상력과 표현력을 발휘하여 제한된 청각적 요소만으로도 감정을 효과적으로 전달하는 능력을 향상시켰을 뿐만 아니라 포 트폴리오를 구축할 수 있는 기회를 마련하였다. 이러한 연구 결과는 오디오 드라마 실습이 기초 교육과 응용 교육을 유기적으로 결합하여 연기 교육의 학습 성과를 향상시키는 데 기여할 수 있음을 시사한다. 결론적으로, 본 연구는 오디오 드라마 실습이 배우 양성을 위한 연기 교육에서 중요한 도구로 작용할 수 있으며, 교육 과정의 다양한 측면에서 긍정적인 변화를 이끌어낼 잠재력이 있음을 확인하였다. 또한, 오 디오 드라마는 비용 효율적으로 제작될 수 있고, 다양한 미디어에 쉽게 적용 가능하여 배우 훈련뿐만 아 니라 다양한 창의적 활동에서도 높은 활용 가능성을 지닌다. 이 연구는 이러한 가능성을 심층적으로 탐 구하기 위한 중요한 기초 자료를 제공한다.
