This study explored the experiences of non-disabled choreographers working with disability dance using a phenomenological qualitative approach. Six choreographers participated, with data collected through in-depth interviews. The findings were categorized into three main themes: first "Transcending Boundaries" - Recognizing disabled dancers as key subjects in dance, expanding the art beyond non-disabled norms. second, "Sharing the World of Disabled Dancers" - Building new artistic possibilities through mutual understanding and empathy between choreographers and dancers, and third was "The Stage as a Public Domain" - Viewing the stage as a space where disability dance exemplifies diversity, with insights into the theme of "understanding differences leading to a realization of sameness." The study concludes that choreographers and dancers should be foster intersubjective relationships and pursue innovation with quality.

본 연구에서는 비장애인 안무가들의 장애무용 안무 경험을 이해하고, 그 경험 속에 존재하는 본질적인 요소나 의미를 현상학적 질적 연구방법을 사용하여 탐구하였다. 참여안무가는 6명이며, 자료는 심층면담을 사용하여 수집되었다. 연구결과, 안무가의 장애무용 안무 경험은 3개의 상위범주, 9개의 하위범주, 65개의 의미 단위로 범주화되었다. 첫째, ‘경계넘기’는 기존의 비장애 중심적 경계를 넘어 장애무용수가 무용예술의 주체임을 인정 하고, 그 몸으로 구현되는 춤의 예술성을 통해 무용예술을 새로운 차원으로 확장하는 것을 의미한다. 둘째, ‘장 애무용수가 감각하는 세계의 공유’는 안무가와 무용수의 상호주체성을 전제로 하여, 이해와 공감을 중심으로 안무를 구성함으로써 새로운 예술적 가능성을 열어가는 것을 의미한다. 셋째, ‘무대라는 공공의 영역’은 무대는 장애무용이 다양성의 예술로서 실천되는 장이며, ‘다름의 이해가 이끌어낸 다르지 않음’의 안무가의 통찰이 작 품의 주제에 반영됨을 의미한다. 장애무용이 문화 다양성과 예술적 수월성을 담보하기 위해서 안무가와 장애 무용수는 상호주체적 관계 안에서 ‘좋은데 새로운 것’을 추구해야 한다.
