Rawls emphasizes that people cooperate based on mutual respect and that the difference principle incorporates the idea of reciprocity. Moreover, while Rawls’s theory of justice maintains a liberal stance that values individual freedom and rights, it also contains significant communitarian elements, as he argues that moral identity is formed through trust and bonding among members. In this study, we intend to discuss the cooperative social view and communitarian elements implied in Rawls’s theory of justice and argue for the necessity of distributive justice education grounded in reciprocity.

롤스는 사람들이 상호 존중의 기초 위에서 협력한다는 점을 강조하 며, 차등의 원칙은 상호성의 관념을 포함하고 있음을 밝히고 있다. 또 한 롤스의 정의론은 개인의 자유 및 권리를 중시하는 자유주의적 입장 을 취하면서도 구성원들의 신뢰와 유대감을 바탕으로 도덕적 정체성이 형성된다고 주장한다는 면에서 공동체주의적 요소를 상당히 내포하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 롤스 정의론에 내포된 협력적 사회관과 공동체주 의적 요소 등을 논증하고, 상호성에 기초한 분배정의 교육의 필요성을 주장하고자 한다.
