The recent decision to separate physical education for early elementary grades has brought renewed attention to physical activity-related education for young students. Early elementary grades must bridge the kindergarten curriculum and the elementary school curriculum while also providing a foundation for future educational stages. Therefore, curricula should be constant based on the time students spend in their academic settings. This applies equally to physical activity-related education. However, the current curricula related to physical activity do not ensure this constancy. This study explores the existing physical activity-related curricula and seeks ways to ensure constancy within the current curriculum framework. The exploration identified Dewey and Heidegger as key philosophical commonalities across each curriculum, leading to a direction that emphasizes the co-evolution of children and culture.

초등학교 저학년 체육교과 분리의 의결로 인하여 저학년 신체활동의 교육이 재조명받고 있다. 초등학교 저학년 은 유치원 교육과정과 초등학교 교육과정의 연계가 요구되는 동시에 이후 교육과정을 위한 기초적인 성격을 지 니고 있다. 학생이 거주하는 시간에 따라 교육과정은 지속되어야 하는 것이다. 신체활동의 교육 역시 매한가지이 다. 하지만 현행 신체활동 관련 교육과정은 이를 담보하지 못하고 있다. 본 연구는 현행 신체활동 관련 교육과정 을 탐색하고 이를 토대로 현행 교육과정 체제 내에서 교육의 지속성을 추구하는 방향을 모색하였다. 그 결과 Dewey와 Heidegger를 각 교육과정의 철학적 공통점으로 발견하였고, 아동과 문화의 공진화를 고려한 방향을 도출하였다.
