The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between the level of human rights awareness of youth and school adaptation. Specifically, human rights awareness focuses on human rights respect and human rights situation consciousness, and school adaptation was measured centering on class participation, relationships with teachers, companionship, and satisfaction with school life. A survey was conducted on the first year of high school, and the final data of 387 people were used for the analysis. Descriptive statistical analysis and reliability were reviewed to verify the hypothesis, the relationship between variables was identified through correlation analysis, and simple regression analysis and multiple regression analysis were performed to verify the hypothesis. It was confirmed that adolescents' human rights awareness had a significant positive effect on class participation, relationships with teachers, companionship, and satisfaction with school life, indicating that high human rights awareness increases school adaptation. Based on these results, this study suggested that first, human rights education that reflects the needs of adolescents should be conducted to increase satisfaction and effectiveness, and second, human rights education should be provided to teachers so that adolescents can be respected by teachers. Third, experiential human rights education that can enhance the experience of mutual respect should be provided, and fourth, a system should be established so that adolescents can present their opinions and reflect them in the school environment.

본 연구는 청소년이 가지고 있는 인권 의식 수준과 학교적응 간의 관계 분석을 목적으로 진행되었다. 구체적으로 인권 의식은 인권 존중 의식과 인권 상황 의 식을 중심으로 하며, 학교적응은 수업 참여, 교사와의 관계, 교우관계, 학교생활 만족을 중심으로 측정하였다. 이를 위해 평택시에 소재한 고등학교에 다니는 재 학생 중 학업중단율이 가장 높은 고등학교 1학년을 대상으로 설문을 실시하여 최종 387명의 자료를 분석에 사용하였다. 가설 검증을 위해 SPSS 22.0 프로그램 을 사용하여 기술 통계 분석과 신뢰도를 검토하고, 상관분석으로 변수 간 관계 를 파악하였으며, 가설 검증을 위해 단순회귀분석과 다중회귀분석을 시행하였다. 청소년이 가지고 있는 인권 의식이 수업 참여, 교사와의 관계, 교우관계, 학교생 활 만족에 모두 유의미한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었으며, 이는 인권 의식이 높으면 학교적응을 높이는 것을 나타낸다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 결과를 토대로 첫째, 청소년의 요구를 반영한 인권 교육을 제공하여 만족도와 실효성을 높이고, 둘째, 교사로부터 청소년의 인권이 존중될 수 있도록 교사 인권 교육 제공이 필요하며, 셋째, 체험적 인권 교육을 시행하여 상호 존중의 경험을 증가 시키고, 넷째, 학교 환경에서 청소년이 의견을 제시하고 그 의견이 반영될 수 있도록 시스템을 마련해야 함을 제언하였다.
