leaching, and the release of harmful heavy metals (HHMs), alongside high costs for maintenance and rehabilitation, particularly in disaster-prone countries like the Philippines. This study focuses the sustainable reuse of IOTs as an alternative to conventional disposal methods. A review of the literature shows that IOTs have beneficial properties, making them suitable for construction materials like cement, bricks, and ceramics. However, risk assessments and pre-treatment are essential for safe reuse when harmful heavy metals are present. The study proposes a preliminary framework for sustainable mine waste management, emphasizing waste reduction, minimizing environmental risks, and aligning with global sustainability goals. Successful reuse of IOTs in various countries highlights their potential to support infrastructure development while addressing environmental concerns. Additionally, the study calls for establishing environmental guidelines and sediment quality management, benefiting nations facing similar challenges. This research promotes sustainable IOT reuse, advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals and fostering a circular economy
