This study used metaphor analysis to explore how daycare center directors perceive the digital competencies of childcare teachers. Two main research questions guided the study: how these perceptions are expressed and the types of metaphors used. The research involved surveying 149 daycare center directors in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon. The analysis categorized the metaphors into three main groups: 'essential competencies for childcare teachers,' 'competencies the director should possess,' and 'overpaid competencies.' Six content types were identified, including 'future talent competency,' 'urgent change in the childcare site,' 'overcoming generational differences,' 'double-edged sword competency,' and 'harmony between nature and digital competency.' The results of this study are expected to provide important implications for establishing measures to support digital competency as a professional quality for childcare teachers.

본 연구는 어린이집 원장의 보육교사 디지털역량에 대한 인식이 어떠한지를 살펴보기 위해 메타포 분석 방법을 통해 실시되었다. 이를 위해 설정한 연구문제는 첫째, 어린이집 원장의 보육교사 디지털역량에 대한 인식 의 표현은 어떠한가?, 둘째, 보육교사 디지털역량에 대한 어린이집 원장 인식의 메타포 유형은 어떠한가? 이다. 본 연구를 위해 서울, 경기, 인천 지역 어린이집에 재직 중인 어린이집 원장 149명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였 다. 수집한 자료의 분석은 체계적 메타포 분석을 바탕으로 메타포 표현을 범주화한 후 통계 분석을 실시하였다. 어린이집 원장이 인식하는 보육교사 디지털역량에 대한 인식의 메타포 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 3개의 대분류로 ‘보육교사 필수역량’, ‘원장도 갖추어야 할 역량’ ‘과유불급 역량’으로 나타났으며, 6개의 내용 유형은 ‘미래인재역 량’, ‘보육현장의 변화 시급’, ‘시범자로서의 원장 역할’ ‘세대 차이 극복’, ‘양날의 검 역량’, ‘보육의 본질과 디지털 역량의 조화’로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 나타난 결과가 보육교사의 전문적 자질로서 디지털역량이 매우 필요하 며 이를 지원하기 방안 마련에 대한 중요한 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
