This paper focuses on the Yusa(遺事) written about Beonam Chae, Jegong (1720-1799) and attempts a comprehensive analysis of his work by mixed reading it with records related to his Chinese poetry and Chinese prose works. Previously, there was Jeong, Yakyong(丁若鏞, 1762-1836)'s Beonongyusa(樊翁遺 事). However, the material used as the main data in this paper is Lee, Yugyeong(李儒 慶, 1748-1818)'s Beonamguyayusa(樊巖舅爺遺事), which was recently discovered and introduced to the academic world. Lee, Yugyeong(李儒慶) is a uncle-nephew relationship with Chae, Jegong(蔡濟恭), and lived and studied with him from childhood until his death, so the records of Chae, Jegong(蔡濟恭) that he wrote are relatively more realistic than other records. In addition, it contains vivid images not seen in other materials, so it has high material value in terms of author and works theory. In the process of mixed reading Lee, Yugyeong(李儒慶)'s Yusa(遺事) and the corresponding work together, the following points were confirmed. By referring to the Yusa(遺事)'s content related to the work, it was possible to gain in-depth access to the creative background and meaning of the work. In addition, analysis and appreciation, which were simply understood through the title and actual content of the work, were able to identify metaphors and symbols by reading them in consideration of the Yusa (遺事)'s content, and find the deeper meaning behind them.

이 논문은 번암(樊巖) 채제공(蔡濟恭, 1720-1799)을 대상으로 작성한 유사(遺事) 가운데 채제공의 특정한 한시 및 한문 산문 작품과 관련되는 기사를 추출하여 그 작품들과 엮어 읽음으로써, 시문(詩文)을 둘러싼 정 보들을 토대로 한 종합적인 작품 분석을 시도한 글이다. 번암 채제공을 대상으로 작성한 유사 가운데 그의 특정한 한시 및 한 문 산문 작품과 관련되는 기록을 선별하고, 해당 작품들과 때로는 순차 적으로 때로는 착종하여 읽음으로써, 시문을 풍성하고 또 심층적으로 감 상하였다. 기존에 채제공을 대상으로 한 유사는 정약용(丁若鏞, 1762∼ 1836)의 ｢번옹유사(樊翁遺事)｣가 있었는데, 이 논문에서 주요 자료로 활용 한 채제공 유사는 최근에 발굴되어 학계에 소개된 ｢번암구야유사(樊巖舅 爺遺事)｣이다. 이 자료는 채제공의 생질 이유경(李儒慶, 1748∼1818)이 작 성한 것이다. 이유경의 채제공 유사와 해당 작품들을 엮어 읽는 과정에서 다음과 같은 지점들이 확인되었다. 작품과 관련되는 유사의 내용을 전방위로 참고함으로써 작품의 창작 배경이나 의미를 심층적으로 접근할 수 있었 고, 원문 텍스트와 관련해서는 글자의 출입 등을 검토할 수 있었다. 또 한 해당 작품의 제목과 실제 내용을 통해 단순하게 이해되었던 분석과 감상이 유사의 내용을 고려하여 읽음으로써 비유나 상징을 확인하여 그 이면의 심층적인 의미를 찾아낼 수도 있었다. 아울러 유사의 내용을 확 인함으로써 해당 작품의 창작 배경과 관련한 흥미로운 정보들을 알게 되고 또 이러한 과정에서 작품의 주제와 소재를 풍성하고 깊게 이해할 수 있었다.
