This study aims to propose a plan to build a global knowledge resource network to collect, organize, preserve, and service knowledge resources produced by the global Korean diaspora. To this end, we investigated the sources of knowledge resources produced by the Korean diaspora and analyzed them by era, space, type, and country. As a result, firstly, the production and types of knowledge resources achieved through a life of migration and settlement showed diverse characteristics, topics, and types of data depending on the migration period, economic life, and occupation of each region and country. Second, special categories and categories appeared differently depending on the institutions that owned regional and national knowledge resources. Third, institutions that possess knowledge resources include archives, research institutes, media outlets, libraries, and museums. Organizations and materials that possess knowledge resources include memorial halls, foundations, associations, churches, and individuals. Fourth, network construction is helpful in accumulating knowledge resources, organizing and preserving knowledge resources, utilizing them, and using them. Fifth, we proposed building and supporting a network of domestic and international Korean diaspora knowledge resource experts.

이 연구에서는 글로벌 코리언 디아스포라들이 생산한 지식자원들을 수집하고 이를 정리하여 보존·서비스할 수 있도록 글로벌 지식자원 네트워크 구축방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 코리언디아스포라들이 생산한 지식자원 소재처를 조 사하여 시대별, 공간별, 유형별로 그리고 나라별로 분석하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 이 주와 정착의 삶을 통해서 이루어진 지식자원의 생산과 유형은 각 지역과 국가별 이주 시기, 경제생활, 직업 등에 따라 특징과 주제, 자료유형이 다양하게 나타났 다. 둘째, 지역별, 국가별 지식자원의 소장기관에 따라 특별 범주와 범주가 다양 하게 나타났다. 셋째, 지식자원을 소장한 기관은 문서보관소, 연구소, 언론사, 도 서관, 박물관 등이다. 지식자원을 소장한 단체와 지식자원은 기념관, 재단, 협회, 교회, 개인 등이다. 넷째, 네트워크 구축은 지식자원의 축적, 지식자원의 정리와 보존, 활용, 이용 등의 측면에서 도움이 된다. 다섯째, 국내외 코리언 디아스포라 지식자원 전문가 네트워크 구축과 지원을 제시하였다.
