The purpose of this study is to look into the meaning of dance groups' experiences with performing arts support projects in the Gyeongnam region. The research method involved conducting in-depth interviews with dance artists who majored in dance in Gyeongnam and had more than 10 years of experience in dance groups as group representatives, choreographers, dancers, and planners. As a result of the study, firstly, the motive for applying for the performing arts support project was to apply for financial help needed for dance performances, and secondly, as an artist who creates dance performances, it is an opportunity to promote the artistic value of dance and the name of our organization and to stand on stage. It is about providing. Third, it was pointed out that the problem with the performing arts support project was that it did not provide financial help. Based on these research results, if the selection process is improved to support talented dance groups and diversification of performing arts support policies is established by promoting the welfare of artists, it will serve as a foundation for revitalizing the local dance world.

본 연구는 경남지역 공연예술지원사업에 대한 무용 단체의 경험에 관한 의미를 들여다 보고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법은 경남에서 무용을 전공한 무용 단체 경력 10년 이상 단체의 대표, 안무가, 무용수, 기획자로 실무 경험이 있는 무용예술인을 대상으로 심층 면담을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 공연예술지원사업의 지원 동기는 무용공연에 필요한 재정적 도움을 위하여 신청하게 되었으며 둘째, 무용공연을 창작하는 예술인으로서 무용이 가지는 예술적 가치와 우리 단체의 이름을 알리고, 무대에 설 기회를 제공한다는 것에 있다. 셋째, 공연 예술지원사업의 문제점으로 재정적인 도움이 되지 못한다고 지적하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 선정 과 정을 개선하여 실력 있는 무용 단체를 지원해 주고, 예술인 복지 증진을 통한 공연예술지원정책의 다변화가 구 축되어 진다면 지역 무용계가 활성화될 수 있는 밑거름이 될 것이다.
