This study deals with the subject of the practical experience of a woman in her 60s to obtain a nursing assistant qualification. This article describes the author's experiences with organizational culture and educational practices during the practical training. The study was triggered by interest in and awareness of the problem of the cynical view that the nursing assistant practical training course is no different from a 'slave contract'. This study conducted the process of career exploration centered on the experience of 'me' as the researcher. This study collected interview data, observation data, conversation data, and self-analysis diary as data, and derived major categories through mutually complementary analysis and interpretation. The research results derived three stages: ‘practical environment’, ‘difficulties in self-care’, and ‘process of awareness and practice’. In the ‘practical environment’ stage, the experience of control and ruling class culture to create a ‘docile body’ was described. In ‘difficulties in self-care’, the process of improving coping skills such as refusing unreasonable instructions was described. Finally, in ‘process of awareness and practice’, the process of voluntary performance such as respect and support for patients was included. The significance of this study lies in the fact that it specifically examined and deeply analyzed the sociocultural environment faced by nursing assistant trainees through an autoethnographic approach.

이 연구는 간호조무사 자격 취득을 위한 60대 여성의 실습경험을 주제로 다루고 있다. 저자가 실습과정에서 겪은 조직문화와 교육양태 등의 경험을 기술한 글이다. 연구는 간호 조무사 실습과정은 ‘노예계약’과 다를 바 없다는 냉소적인 시선에 대한 관심과 문제의 식에서 촉발되었다. 본 연구는 직업 탐색의 과정을 연구자인‘나’의 경험을 중심으로 수 행하였다. 본 연구는 면담자료, 관찰자료, 대화자료, 자기분석일지 등을 자료로 수집하여 상호보완적으로 분석・해석을 거치면서 주요한 범주를 도출하였다. 연구결과 ‘실습 환경’,‘자기돌봄의 어려움’, ‘자각과 실행의 과정’의 세 단계를 도출하였다. ‘실습 환경’ 단계에서는 ‘유순한 신체’를 만들기 위한 통제와 지배계급 문화 경험을 기술하였다. ‘자기돌봄의 어려움’에서는 불합리한 지시를 거절하는 등 대응 능력의 향상과정을 기술하였다. 마지막으로 ‘자각과 실행의 과정’에서는 환자에 대한 존 중과 지지 등 자발적인 수행과정을 담았다. 본 연구는 자문화기술지적 접근을 통해 간호조 무사 실습생이 처한 사회문화적 환경을 구체적으로 살펴보고 심층적으로 분석했다는 데 의의가 있다.
