Due to the nature of police work, crisis management is more directly related to the core functions and responsibilities of the police. This fits into their role in maintaining public safety, responding to emergency situations, and managing immediate threats to the community. The purpose of this study is to find ways to ensure the safety of vulnerable groups by strengthening the crisis management capabilities of autonomous police. Considering the reality that aging is intensifying, seniors were selected as the focus of research. This study seeks to understand their characteristics related to crisis situations and examine ways to provide autonomous security services. The research method was to conduct a literature study and discuss the characteristics of seniors and the crisis management role of autonomous police. The following are suggestions for ways for autonomous police to improve their crisis management capabilities targeting seniors. First, education and training must be provided so that police activities can be carried out considering the characteristics of seniors. Second, it is necessary to inspect the technical support system and apply technology. Third, the cooperation system to support seniors must be strengthened.

경찰 업무의 특성상 위기관리는 경찰의 핵심 기능 및 책임과 더 직접적인 관련이 있다. 이는 공 공 안전을 유지하고, 긴급 상황에 대응하고, 지역사회에 대한 즉각적인 위협을 관리하는 역할에 맞 는다. 본 연구는 자치경찰이 위기관리 역량을 강화하여 취약계층의 안전을 확보하는 방안을 모색하는데 목적이 있다. 고령화가 더욱 심화되고 있는 현실을 감안하여 고령자를 중점 연구 대상으로 설정하였 다. 위기 상황과 관련되는 그들의 특성을 이해하고 자치치안 서비스를 제공할 수 있기 위한 방안을 검토하고자 한다. 연구 방법은 문헌 연구를 수행하여 고령자의 특성 및 자치경찰의 위기관리 역할 등을 논의하였다. 고령자를 대상으로, 자치경찰이 위기관리 역량을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안을 제언하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고령자의 특성을 고려한 경찰활동이 전개될 수 있도록 교육훈련이 마련되어야 한다. 둘째, 기 술적 지원 체계를 점검하고 기술 적용이 필요하다. 셋째, 고령자 지원 협력 체계를 강화해야 한다.
