This study is based on a period of approximately two months from January 1, 2024, when the Asian Cup soccer tournament began, to the end of the tournament, events that occurred during the tournament, and the dismissal of the Korean national team coach. Son Heung-min, as mentioned in the British Guardian, The purpose was to collect articles by players and coach Klinsmann and analyze the emotions contained in the articles. The Guardian's collection of newspaper articles was conducted using a Application Programming Interface(API) provided by the newspaper, and based on the collected data, the degree of positivity, negativity, and neutrality contained in the articles was analyzed and visualized. As a result of the analysis, the British media's attitude toward Son Heung-min contained a lot of positive content, and a figure of approximately 99% was reported based on the positivity of the entire content. In the case of coach Klinsmann, there was more negative content than positive content, and the positive attitude toward the entire content was reported to be about 34%, confirming that he had a more negative attitude than Son Heung-min. It is believed that sentiment analysis of media articles through text mining is possible through dictionary-based discrimination and is an effective research method to confirm Son Heung-min's position in England.

이 연구는 아시안 컵 축구대회가 시작되었던 2024년 1월 1일부터 대회가 끝나고 대회 기간 중 있었 던 사건과 한국 국가대표팀 감독이 경질된 후 약 2달간의 기간을 기준으로, 영국 가디언에 언급된 손 흥민 선수와 클린스만 감독의 기사를 수집하여 기사에 담겨있는 감정을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였 다. 가디언의 신문 기사 수집은 신문사에서 제공하는 개발자 계정 도구(API)를 활용해 진행되었고 수집 된 자료를 바탕으로 기사에 담겨있는 긍정과 부정, 그리고 중립의 성격 정도를 분석하여 시각화하였다. 분석 결과 손흥민 선수에 대한 영국 언론의 태도는 긍정적인 내용이 많았으며 전체 내용에 대한 긍정 도 기준으로 약 99% 정도의 수치를 보고하였다. 클린스만 감독의 경우는 긍정보다는 부정의 내용이 많았으며 전체 내용에 대한 긍정도 기준으로 약 34% 정도의 수치를 보고하여 손흥민 선수에 비해 부 정적인 태도가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 텍스트 마이닝을 통한 언론 기사의 감정 분석이 사전기반 판 별로 가능하다는 것과 손흥민 선수의 영국 내 입지를 확인할 수 있는 효과적인 연구방법이라고 판단 된다.
