The purpose of this study is to explore the experiences of kindergarten teachers who participated in the operation of the kindergarten and elementary school transition and to identify their support needs. To this end, a total of 12 individual interviews were conducted with kindergarten teachers from Chungcheongnam-do who participated in or are currently participating in the kindergarten and elementary school transition, and the results were analyzed. As a result of the study, first, the experiences of kindergarten teachers who participated in the operation of the kindergarten and elementary school transition included ‘somehow a transition’, ‘education vs. event’, ‘cooperation vs. collaboration’ and ‘unprepared business & person in charge of completing it’. Second, the kindergarten teachers’ requests for support for the operation of the kindergarten and elementary school transition included ‘support for teachers for the kindergarten and elementary school transition’, ‘establishment of transition system’, and ‘increasing awareness of the kindergarten and elementary school transition’. The results of this study suggest that the transition between kindergarten and elementary school should be an education that connects children's lives, focusing on their successful transition to elementary school, along with the establishment of national guidelines and systems.

본 연구의 목적은 유·초 이음학기 운영에 참여한 유치원 교사의 경험과 지원 요구를 분석 함으로써 이음교육의 교육적·정책적 시사점을 탐색하는데 있다. 이를 위해 유·초 이음학기 운 영에 참여하였거나 참여하고 있는 충청남도 유치원 교사 8명을 연구 참여자로 선정하였으며, 총 12회의 개별면담을 실시하고 그 내용을 분석하여 결과를 도출하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 유· 초 이음학기 운영에 참여한 유치원 교사의 경험은 ‘어쩌다 이음학기’, ‘이음교육 vs 이음행사’, ‘협조 vs 협업’, ‘준비되지 않은 사업 & 해내야 하는 담당자’로 나타났다. 둘째, 유·초 이음학 기 운영에 대한 유치원 교사의 지원 요구는 ‘유·초 이음교육을 위한 교사 지원’, ‘이음학기 공 모사업 체제 정비’, ‘유·초 이음교육에 대한 유·초등 교사와 관리자, 학부모의 인식 제고’로 나 타났다. 본 연구 결과는 유·초 이음학기가 생애교육 차원에서 유기적이고 연속적인 전이를 보 장하는 교육적 지원이어야 하며, 이를 위해 현장 중심의 정책 실효성 제고를 위한 노력이 뒤 따라야 함을 시사한다.
