Guunmong is a novel that became very popular in the late Joseon Dynasty, with King Yeongjo(英祖, reigned, 1724-1776) reading and mentioning it several times. Due to this widespread popularity, many Guunmongdo, which was created as an image, were also painted. In particular, it was produced in various folk paintings throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. This article examines in detail the composition, content, and style of the eight-folder screen of Guunmongdo, which is currently owned by the Museum of Soseong, Gyeonggi University, which has a high degree of painting completion among a number of existing Guunmongdo. In the case of Guunmongdo, which is in the collection of Gyeonggi National University's Soseong Museum, it was mentioned as one of the various versions of Guunmongdo, but no detailed analysis has been made. This paper analyzes what Guunmongdo, the director of the Gyeonggi National University Soseong Museum, drew, what the overall composition was, what kind of painting style was used, and what formative characteristics it had. This work is a work that shows a branch of Guunmongdo drawn in various ways throughout the late 19th and 20th centuries. The main contents of the novel were selected over eight volumes and can be evaluated as an example of a unique Guunmongdo in the first half of the 20th century, in which the method of simplification and exaggeration was applied based on the court style. For the first time in this paper, the composition and content of this work, painting style, and formative characteristics were intensively analyzed. This is one empirical example that can be used as a standard for other Guunmongdo studies in the future.

『구운몽(九雲夢)』은 영조(英祖, 재위 1724-1776)가 읽고 몇 차례 언급했을 정도로 조선후기에 계층을 막론하고 큰 인기를 끌었던 소설이다. 이러한 광범위한 인 기 덕분에 이를 도해(圖解)한 구운몽도(九雲夢圖) 역시 많이 그려졌다. 특히 19세기부 터 20세기 전반에 걸쳐서 민화(民畵)로 다양하게 제작되었다. 이 글은 현재 전해지는 다수의 구운몽도 가운데 높은 회화적 완성도를 지니고 있는 경기대학교소성박물관 소 장의 《구운몽도(九雲夢圖)》8폭 병풍에 대하여 검토한다. 경기대학교소성박물관에 소장되어있는 《구운몽도》의 경우 구운몽도의 다양한 버전 가운데 한 가지 사례로 언급되긴 했지만 자세한 분석은 이루어진바 없다. 본 논문 은 경기대학교소성박물관 소장 《구운몽도》의 전체적인 구성 및 화풍, 그리고 조형적 특징을 상세히 분석하고 이를 통해 《구운몽도》의 회화사적 의의를 파악하고자 한다. 이 작품은 19세기 후반과 20세기 전반에 걸쳐 다양하게 그려진 구운몽도의 한 갈래 양상을 보여주는 작품이다. 소설의 주요한 내용을 선정하여 8폭에 걸쳐 그림으로 그렸다. 궁정화풍에 기초하면서도 단순화와 과장이라는 방법이 적용된 20세기 전반의 독특한 《구운몽도》의 한 사례로 평가할 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 최초로 이 작품의 구 성과 내용, 화풍과 조형적 특징을 집중적으로 분석했다. 이를 통하여 추정연대를 보다 좁혀볼 수 있었고, 소설과 다른 병풍의 표장 순서 또한 파악해볼 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구는 추후 《구운몽도》연구의 기준으로 삼을 수 있는 하나의 실증적 예시이다.
