This study analyzes how feminist theology has affected Christian women, how their lives have been changed from the perspective of the birth of Christian women subjects through life stories of Christian women contributed to the corner of ‘My story’ of the Journal of Korean Feminist Theology. Christian women analyzed in this research find themselves, interpret meanings of their lives and are born as subjects through their life stories in which experiences scattered in different times and various places of life are described, connected and made up within frames, as was discussed in the narrative theology of Paul Ricoeur. As these Christian women learn about feminist theology and perceive their previous experiences of gender inequality from the viewpoint of objective, social structure, they can find other women and society newly from the feminist theological perspective. They not only come to have a new vision of equality and liberation, but also become active in pursuit of their better lives and social reformation. In the sense that these women’s perspectives and scopes of activity expand and grow, they are growing subjects. These women are creative subjects as they attempt to make new ways and visions of gender equality which have not existed due to constraints of a patriarchal society. Lastly, these Christian women are negotiating subjects as they adjust, resolve diverse factors in order to gain the best, friendly things in their lives in spite of hybridity, split and constraints deriving from factors such as existing patriarchy, capitalism, Confucianism as well as social, political reality. These Christian women have been influenced and changed in close relation with history of feminist theology in Korea as well as in U.S.A. Further and these changed women have contributed to improving church as well as history by living as growing, creative and negotiating subjects.

초교파 기독교 여성단체인 한국여신학자협의회(이하, 여신협)는 성평등을 추구하며 30년 넘게 「한국여성신학」지를 발간해 왔다. 본 연구는 2010년-2024년까지의 지난 15년에 걸친 「한국여성신학」지의 <나의 이야기>라는 코너에 실린 기독 여성들의 삶의 이야기들을 통해서 여성신학이 이들 기독 여성들에게 어떠한 영향을 끼쳤고 그 여성들의 삶이 어떻게 변화해 왔는가를 기독 여성 주체의 탄생이라는 관점에서 분석 한다. 한국의 여성신학은 여성의 삶의 경험을 담은 이야기를 말하고 쓰고 전하는 방 법론을 중요하게 사용해왔으며, 이는 1970년대 이후 전개되어 온 이야기 신학의 맥락 에서 이해될 수 있다. 본 연구에서 분석한 기독 여성들은 폴 리쾨르의 이야기 신학이 논의하듯이, 삶의 긴 여정과 서로 다른 시간들에 흩어져 있는 체험을 서술하고 하나 의 틀로 연결하고 구성하는 이야기를 통해 자기를 발견하고 삶의 의미를 해석하며 주 체로 태어난다. 이 여성들은 여성신학을 접하고 배우면서 이전의 자신의 성차별 경험 을 사회구조적, 객관적으로 발견, 인식하고 나아가 다른 여성들과 사회를 여성신학적 관점에서 새롭게 발견하며 이전과는 다른 성평등과 해방의 전망을 지니고 여성 자신 의 더 나은 삶과 사회 변화를 위해 활동하게 되는 더 큰 확장과 성장을 경험한다는 의미에서 성장하는 주체이다. 또한 이 여성들은 기존의 가부장적 사회의 여러 제약 속에서 이제까지 존재하지 않던 새로운 성평등과 해방의 길과 전망을 시도하고 만들 어내는 창조적 주체로서 살아간다. 그리고 이 여성들은 기존의 가부장제와 자본주의, 유교와 기독교 그리고 정치사회적 현실 등 다양한 요인들의 혼종성, 분열, 제약 속에 서도 여성 자신의 삶에서 최선의 우호적인 것을 얻기 위해 그러한 상이한 요인들을 조정하여 해결해 나가는 협상하는 주체로서 살아간다. 이 기독 여성들의 삶은 한국 및 미국의 여성신학의 역사의 흐름과 밀접히 관련되어 여성신학에 의해 영향을 받으 며 변화되었고, 이렇게 변화된 여성들이 성장하는 주체, 창조하는 주체, 협상하는 주 체로 살아감으로써 교회와 역사를 또한 변화시키고 개선해 왔다. 이러한 여성신학을 통하여 앞으로 더 많은 기독 여성들이 더욱 주체적인 삶을 살도록 변화되어야 하며 나아가 교회와 사회에서의 성평등에 기여해야 할 것이다.
