This paper emphasizes the need for the church to become a multicultural community to fulfill its missional role in a changing society. Simply defining the missional church by the services it offers can limit its true purpose. Even in a multicultural society, the church must be a sign of God’s reign and a model of the new world. God works within the church first and through the church to transform the world. The church must move beyond a monocultural view and embrace immigrants and multicultural families, especially their children, as part of a diverse community. Immigrants are not just service recipients but have the potential to contribute significantly to the church’s mission. They connect with growing immigrant networks and, using their unique cultural backgrounds, become valuable resources for multicultural missions. The church should see them as partners in mission, not just offering hospitality but integrating them into true community and leadership roles. This will strengthen the church's identity and its role as a model for a healthy multicultural community. This paper suggests strategies for transforming the church into a multicultural missional community by focusing on children from multicultural families. The church should build communal solidarity with them, empower their leadership, and strengthen its missional capacity. Using missional hermeneutics, this study emphasizes recognizing and leveraging their multicultural potential. It also explores how churches and migrant mission organizations can collaborate to sustain multicultural missions. By embracing diversity and working together in challenging contexts, the church can model God’s reign and be a beacon of hope in a multicultural world.

이 논문은 다문화 사회로 변화하는 상황에서 교회가 선교적 역할을 다하기 위해 다문화적 공동체로 변모해야 할 필요성을 강조한다. 단순히 교회가 주도하는 선교적 서비스의 양으로 선교적 교회를 도식화한다면, 그 운동의 의미는 심각하게 제한될 수 있다. 다문화된 사회에서도 교회는 하나님의 통치가 실현된 새로운 세상의 예표가 되 어야 하며, 이를 위해 하나님은 먼저 교회 안에서 일하시고, 그리고 그 변화된 교회를 통해 세상에 일하신다. 따라서 교회는 단일문화적 관점을 지양하고 타문화적 관점으 로 이주민들과 다문화가정, 특히 다문화가정 자녀들을 포용하는 다문화적 공동체가 되어야 한다. 이주민들은 단순한 서비스의 수혜자가 아니라, 공동체의 일원으로서 교 회의 선교적 사명에 중요한 기여를 할 수 있는 잠재력을 가지고 있다. 그들은 사회 저변부에서 빠르게 증가하는 이주민 네트워크와 소통하고 있으며, 또 그들만이 갖는 독특한 문화적 배경을 활용해 다문화 사회 중요한 선교적 자원으로 발전할 수 있다. 교회는 이들을 공동체의 선교적 동반자로 인식하고, 단순한 환대를 넘어 진정한 공동 체성으로 초대하며, 리더십을 위임해야 한다. 이를 통해 하나님의 선교 이야기 안에서 교회의 정체성과 역할은 강화될 것이고, 다문화 사회 속에서 건강한 다문화적 공동체 의 모델이 될 수 있다. 본 논문은 이처럼 교회가 다문화적 선교 공동체로 변모하기 위한 실천적 대안으로 다문화가정 자녀들에게 관심을 둔다. 이제 교회는 이들과 깊은 공동체적 연대를 맺고, 리더십을 부여하여 다문화 사회에서 선교적 역량을 강화해야 한다. 이를 위해 먼저 다문화가정 자녀들의 삶을 선교적 해석학의 관점에서 조명하며, 그들의 내재된 다문화적 역량을 발굴하고 이를 바탕으로 선교적 역할을 수행하도록 돕는 것을 주요 과제로 삼는다. 그리고 공동체적 차원에서 교회와 이주민 선교단체들 이 협력하여 다문화 선교를 조직화하고 지속 가능한 방식으로 발전시키는 방안을 논 의한다. 교회들이 다문화가정 자녀들을 지지하고 양육한다면, 이주민 선교단체들은 구 체적인 사역필드를 제공하고 사역 정보, 기술을 전수해 주면서 협력하는 것이다. 이와 같이 교회가 차별과 혐오로 얼룩진 다문화 상황에서 문화적 다양성을 포용하고 함께 협력하여 섬긴다면, 교회는 하나님의 통치가 실현된 새로운 세상의 모델로 다문화 사 회의 빛이 될 것이다.
