Currently, humanity is experiencing rapid changes due to generative AI technology. Society at large is facing new challenges and opportunities with generative AI, leading to deep contemplation and discussions on how best to utilize it. The education sector, in particular, is undergoing rapid transformation, with the educational community calling for changes in curriculum, redefining the roles of instructors and students, and modifying teaching methods. In response to the evolving educational landscape in the era of generative AI, this paper presents a study that minimizes instructor-centered knowledge delivery and implements student-led, activity-centered classes. The study focuses on students in the religious education teacher training course at P Theological University, where generative AI was extensively utilized in student-led activity-centered lesson plans. The study aimed to (1) investigate the level of class satisfaction when instructor-centered knowledge delivery was minimized and student-led, activity-centered classes were implemented, and (2) explore the perception and satisfaction with generative AI when incorporated into student-led, activity-centered lesson plans. According to the quantitative analysis of survey results (Wilcoxon signed-rank test), it was confirmed that achievement of class goals(median 5.00, Q1-Q3 4.00-5.00) and class satisfaction(median 5.00, Q1-Q3 4.60-5.00) were significantly high when instructor-centered knowledge delivery was minimized, and student-led activity classes were implemented. Additionally, a significant positive shift was observed in the perception and satisfaction with generative AI between pre- and post-surveys (pre-survey: median 4.00 (Q1-Q3, 4.00-4.00) / post-survey: median 5.00 (Q1-Q3, 4.00-5.00)). In open-ended responses, participants highlighted the usefulness of generative AI, such as 'ease and agility of information collection' and 'excellence of generated products.' However, they also noted limitations, including 'dissatisfaction with the generated products themselves,' 'inadequate utilization skills,' 'over-dependence,' 'dissatisfaction with the inaccuracy of information,' and 'deterioration of users' creativity and thinking skills.' Based on these findings, the study offers recommendations on the roles of instructors, the roles of learners, and teaching methods in the era of generative AI.

지금 인류는 생성형 AI 기술로 인해 급격한 변화를 맞이하고 있다. 사회 각계는 생성형 AI 기술로 새로운 변화를 맞아 생성형 AI 활용 방안에 대한 깊은 고민과 논 의를 진행하고 있다. 특히 교육 분야의 상황은 급격하게 변화되고 있고, 교육계는 생 성형 AI에 대한 교육적 방향성을 제시하고 교수자-학생의 역할변화와 수업방식의 변 화 등 수업의 변화를 요청하고 있다. 이러한 생성형 AI 시대의 교육적 상황에 부응하 여, 본 논문은 교수자 중심의 지식전달식 수업을 최소화하고 학생주도적 활동중심 수 업을 설계 및 실행한 연구이다. 본 연구를 위해 설계된 수업은 P 신학대학교의 종교 교과 교원양성과정생을 대상으로 하였으며, 학생주도적 활동 중심 수업안에 생성형 AI를 폭넓게 활용하였다. 이를 통해 본 연구는 1) 교수자 중심의 지식전달식 수업을 최소화하고 학생주도적 활동중심 수업을 실행했을 때의 수업만족도를 조사하고, 2) 학 생주도적 활동중심 수업안에 생성형 AI를 활용해 봄으로써, 생성형 AI에 대한 인식 및 만족도를 조사하고자 하였다. 설문조사를 통한 양적 연구 결과분석에 의하면 (Wilcoxon signed-rank test), 교수자 중심의 지식전달식 수업을 최소화하고 학생주도 적 활동수업을 실행했을 때의 수업목표달성도(중위수 5.00, Q1-Q3 4.00-5.00)와 수업 만족도(중위수 5.00, Q1-Q3 4.60-5.00)는 상당히 높게 달성되었음을 확인하였다. 또한, 생성형 AI 활용에 대한 인식 및 만족도의 연구 결과분석을 보면, 사전/ 사후 조사간 인식 및 만족도가 상향 조정되어 유의한 변화를 확인하였다(사전 조사:중위수 4.00(Q1-Q3, 4.00-4.00)/ 사후 조사: 중위수 5.00(Q1-Q3, 4.00-5.00)). 서술형 문항에서, 참여자들은 생성형 AI 활용에 있어 ‘정보수집의 용이성 및 민첩성,’ ‘생성물의 탁월성’ 등의 유용성을 진술하였고, 이와 동시에 ‘생성물 자체에 대한 불만족,’ ‘활용 능력 미 흡,’ ‘과의존,’ ‘정보의 부정확성에 대한 불만족,’ ‘사용자의 창의력 및 사고력 저하’ 등 의 한계를 지적하였다. 이와 같은 연구 결과를 토대로, 본 연구는 생성형 AI 시대의 교수자 역할, 학습자의 역할, 수업방식에 대한 제언을 실행하였다.
