This paper aims to compare and analyze the hallucination problem in artificial intelligence (AI) language models with the challenges of reality perception faced by individuals with high-functioning autism, and to critique these issues from a Christian perspective. AI hallucination occurs when large language models (LLMs) generate information that does not align with reality due to the incompleteness or bias in the data they have been trained on. This phenomenon is similar to the difficulties experienced by high-functioning autistic individuals, who, despite their high intellectual capabilities, tend to distort external reality by overly relying on internal logic, which can lead to significant challenges in social interactions and daily life. This paper explores the similarities between AI hallucinations and the cognitive characteristics of autistic individuals, demonstrating that both AI and humans can reach incorrect conclusions based on incomplete information. In this context, the study examines how technical approaches such as prompt engineering can be utilized to improve reality perception in autistic individuals. Prompt engineering is an important technique that helps AI arrive at more accurate conclusions and can also be beneficial in mitigating the social interaction difficulties experienced by autistic individuals. These techniques can assist autistic individuals in better understanding and applying social rules in real-life situations. Furthermore, the paper discusses the compatibility of AI technological advancements with the Christian theological emphasis on human dignity. From a Christian ethical perspective, while AI can contribute positively when used as a tool for humans, it poses a threat to human dignity and value if it replaces moral judgment. Particularly, the issue of AI hallucination contrasts with human moral judgment, highlighting the need for AI to evolve in a way that enhances human moral decision-making. This necessitates an integrated approach that combines technological advancement with theological reflection. In conclusion, while AI technology has the potential to improve the quality of life for autistic individuals, it is crucial to ensure that such technology does not undermine essential human values. Future research should aim to deepen the understanding of AI-human interaction and integrate ethical considerations from a Christian perspective. This approach will guide the development of AI in a manner that preserves human dignity and contributes positively to society.
