This study was conducted to examine the current status of life career planning for Korea's 2nd baby boomer generation ahead of the super-aging society in 2025, and to explore suggestions for life career planning services to prepare for the second act of life. For the study, we used data from the second year of the Korea Employment Information Service's Senior Employment Panel to examine the characteristics of the second baby boomer generation (1964-1976) in the areas of health, relationships, finance (economy), and occupation (jobs). The analysis results are as follows.First, middle-aged Koreans have a subjective health satisfaction score of 3.6 (out of 5), and the majority do not exercise regularly once a week, because they are busy and do not have time to exercise. Second, middle-aged people's satisfaction with family relationships was around 75 points out of 100, while subjective satisfaction with economic status was 58 points, indicating a lack of management in the financial and economic areas.In particular, there was a large gap of about 25 times between the average assets of the top 25% and the assets of the bottom 25%. Third, while Korea's middle-aged people recognized that “if possible, I would like to continue working regardless of age,” the level of utilization of life career planning support systems such as the continued employment support system for seniors, re-employment support services, and vocational training was very insufficient. Based on these research results, we develop a detailed life career planning service suitable for each period and characteristics starting from the 40+ generation, and connect this with various areas of life to ultimately support policies to live life systematically and fully. The necessity was presented.

본 연구는 2025년 초고령사회를 앞둔 시점에서 우리나라 제2차 베이비부머 세대의 생애 경력설계 준비실태를 살펴보고, 인생 2막을 준비하기 위하여 생애경력설계 서비스에 관 한 제안 사항을 탐색하고자 수행되었다. 연구를 위하여 한국고용정보원의 고령자고용패 널 2차년도 자료를 활용하여 2차 베이비붐 세대(1964년~1976년)의 건강, 관계, 재무(경 제), 직업(일자리)영역의 특성을 살펴보았다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 우리나라 중장년 건강만족도는 평균 3.6점(5점 만점)이며, 과반수는 바 쁘다는 이유로 규칙적 운동을 하지 않고 있었다. 둘째, 중장년의 가족관계 만족도는 100 점 만점의 75점 내외인 반면, 주관적인 경제상태 만족도는 58점으로 재무 및 경제영역 의 관리는 부족하였다. 특히, 순자산 상위 25%의 평균 자산과 하위 25%의 자산에는 약 25배의 큰 격차를 보여 대상자별 재무상황의 편차가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 우리나 라 중장년은 “가능하면, 나이와 상관없이 계속 일하고 싶다”고 인식한 반면, 고령자 계 속고용지원제도, 재취업지원서비스, 직업훈련 등 생애경력설계 지원제도의 활용 수준은 매우 미비하였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 기반으로 중장년의 지속가능한 일자리지원을 위해 중장년의 시기와 특성에 적합한 세분화된 생애경력설계 서비스와 정책의 필요성을 제시 하였다.
