This study empirically analyzes the effects of Korea's macroprudential policies on macroeconomic variables, household lending, and housing prices. Additionally, it examines the asymmetric effects of macroprudential policies by categorizing them into tightening and loosening measures. Utilizing the data from Alam et al. (2019) and employing a VAR model to analyze the dynamic effects of these policies, the findings reveal that macroprudential policies have statistically significant impacts on household lending and housing prices. Specifically, tightening macroprudential policies significantly reduce household lending and housing prices. In contrast, loosening macroprudential policies do not have statistically significant effects on changes in household lending and housing prices. Moreover, tightening macroprudential policies respond significantly to rising housing prices, contributing to the reduction in lending and the decline in housing prices. These results suggest that Korea's macroprudential policies have appropriate effects on target variables, indicating the necessity of implementing suitable policies for financial stability.

본 연구는 한국의 거시건전성 정책이 거시경제변수 및 가계대출, 주택가격에 미치는 영향을 실증분석하였다. 또한, 거시건전성 정책을 긴축적, 완화적으로 구분하여 정책의 비대칭적 효과를 분석하였다. 실증분석을 위해 거시건전성 정책에 대한 Alam et al.(2019)의 자료를 활용하였고, 정책의 동태적인 효과를 분석하기 위해 VAR 모형을 도입하였다. 분석 결과 거시건전성 정책은 가계대출과 주택가격에 통계적 으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 긴축적 거시건전성 정책이 가계대출의 감소와 주택가격의 하락에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 반면, 완화적 거시건전성 정책은 주택가격 상승에 미약한 영향을 미치나, 가계대출을 증가에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 긴축적 거시건전성 정책은 주택가격의 상승에 통계적으로 유의하게 반응하는데, 이것이 대출의 감소와 주택가격 하락에 기여하는 것으로 판단된다. 이상의 결과를 한국의 거시건전성 정책이 목표변수에 적절한 효과를 나타내고 있으며, 금융안정을 위해 적절한 정책의 시행이 필요함을 시사한다.
