This study was conducted to empirically investigate the relationship between SOC consciousness and regional development following the attraction of regional marine leisure sports competitions. To this end, local residents living or working in Jeollabuk-do in 2023 were selected as the population. A survey was conducted centering on the selected research subjects, and a total of 484 data were used for the final analysis, excluding the questionnaire that did not meet the purpose of the study. Data processing of the questionnaire was concluded as follows by conducting frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability verification, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. First, the attraction of regional marine leisure sports competitions, SOC consciousness, and regional development showed positive correlations in all sub-variables. Second, it was found that the attraction of regional marine leisure sports competitions had a positive effect on SOC consciousness. Third, it was found that the attraction of marine leisure sports competitions had a positive effect on regional development.

이 연구는 지역 해양레저스포츠 대회유치에 따른 SOC의식 및 지역발전의 관계를 실증적 규명을 위해 실시하였 다. 이를 위해 2023년 전라북도에 거주 또는 근무하는 지역주민을 모집단으로 선정하였다. 선정된 연구대상 500명을 중심으로 설문조사를 수행하였으며 응답 받은 설문지 중 연구의 목적에 부합되지 않은 설문지 16명를 제외한 총 484명의 자료를 최종분석에 사용하였다. 설문지의 자료처리는 빈도분석, 탐색적 요인분석, 신뢰도 검증, 상관관계분석, 다중회귀 분석을 실시하여 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 지역 해양레저스포츠 대회유치와 SOC의식 및 지역발전은 하위 변인 모두에서 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 지역 해양레저스포츠 대회유치는 SOC의식에 부분적으로 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 해양레저스포츠 대회유치는 지역발전에 부분적으로 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났 다. 추가적으로 연구범위를 확장하여 전라북도 뿐만아니라 권역별 지역주민을 모집단으로 선정하여 해양레저스포츠 대 회유치에 따른 SOC의식 및 지역발전 관계에 관한 연구가 진행되어 문헌의 공백을 제시하고 연계성있는 심화연구가 필요 할 것으로 판단된다.
