is a study through reflection on contemporary large-scale ceramic works using the Kintsugi technique, which is gaining new attention and growing, based on a pluralistic aesthetic view. We studied theoretical considerations and various techniques of Kintsugi, reflected on the aesthetic value and meaning of works newly completed through Kintsugi techniques, and attempted to give to the new role of art required in modern times. Contemporary art in the era of pluralism shows a tendency to integrate not only the boundaries between genres but also in terms of materials and techniques, and is continuously acquiring new meaning and value. in such a situation, in particular, we fundamentally started with lacquer craft decoration. The meaning of the Kintsugi technique being performed is important. The Kintsugi technique originated in Japan for the repair and restoration of ceramics, and as modern ceramic gained formative expressiveness, it was found that over the years, it has come to be given meaning as a work of art that is newly recreated by modern artists. In addition, works using the kintsugi technique expand their meaning as unique craft works and even show recovery with new values. This meaning provides new comfort and aesthetic healing to those of us who live with the sense of loss left behind in the post-corona era. Through analysis of exhibitions and trends related to kintsugi at home and abroad, we looked at specific cases and attempted to give the value of kintsugi as a form of art beyond the level of simple techniques.

<다원주의 미학적 관점에서 바라본 킨츠기 기법의 현대작품분석>은 다원주의적 미학관을 토대로, 새롭게 주목받으며 성장하고 있는 킨츠기 기법을 활용한 현대도예 작품들에 대한 성찰을 통한 연구이다. 킨츠기에 대한 이론적 고찰 및 다양한 기법에 대해서 알아보고, 킨츠기 기법을 통해 새롭게 완성된 작품이 지닌 미적 가치와 의미를 성찰하면서 바로, 현대에서 요구되는 예술의 새로운 역할로 의미 부여하고자 했다. 다원주의 시대의 현대예술은 장르 간의 경계뿐만 아니라 재료와 기법적인 측면에서도 통합적인 경향을 보이며, 또 다른 의미와 가치를 지속적으로 획득해 가고 있는 추세이다. 그러한 상황에서 특히, 근본적으로는 옻칠 공예장식으로 출발하고 있지만, 킨츠기 기법이 갖는 새로운 의미는 중요하다. 킨츠기 기법은 도자기 관련 수리와 복원을 위해서 일본에서부터 시작되었으며, 또한 현대도예에서 조형적 표현성을 확보하는 가운데, 현대 예술가들은 새롭게 재창작되는 예술작품으로서의 의미를 부여하고 있다. 킨츠기 기법을 활용한 현대작품들은 고유한 공예작품으로서의 의미를 확장하고 새로운 가치로 회복하고 있다. 이러한 의미는 곧 포스트 코로나 시대에 남겨진 상실감을 안고 살아가는 우리에게 새로운 위안으로 그리고 미적인 치유로서의 의미를 제공하고 있기도 하다. 국내외 킨츠기 관련 전시 및 동향 분석을 통해 구체적인 사례를 살펴보고 단순한 기법의 차원을 넘어서서 오롯이 예술의 역할을 담당하고 있는 킨츠기의 가치를 부여하고자 했다.
