This study aimed to verify the mediating effect of internalized shame and the mediated moderating effect of decentering to understand the binge eating caused by childhood emotional abuse. To validify this hypothesis, an online survey was conducted with 150 college students aged 18 to 28, measuring levels of childhood emotional abuse, internalized shame, binge eating, and decentering. The collected data were analyzed by using SPSS 26.0 and PROCESS Macro 4.2. The main results of this study are summarized as follows. First, the correlation analysis showed significant correlations among childhood emotional abuse, internalized shame, binge eating, and decentering. Second, in the relationship between childhood emotional abuse and binge eating, the mediating effect of internalized shame was significant. Third, in the relationship between childhood emotional abuse and binge eating, the moderating effect of decentering was significant. Forth, in the relationship between internalized shame and binge eating, the moderating effect of decentering was not significant. Fifth, the mediated moderating effect of decentering was not significant on the pathway from childhood emotional abuse to binge eating through the mediator of internalized shame. Finally, based on these results, the significance and limitations of this study and implications for the direction of subsequent research were discussed.

본 연구는 아동기 정서적 학대의 장기적 영향으로 인해 폭식을 경험하는 성인들을 이해하고 돕기 위해 내면화된 수치심의 매개효과와 탈중심화의 조절된 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 대학교에 재학 중인 만 18세 이상 28세 이하의 대학생 150명을 대상으로 아동기 정서적 학대, 내면화된 수치심, 폭식, 탈중심화를 측정하는 설문을 온라인으로 실시하였다. SPSS 26.0과 PROCESS Macro 4.2 프로그램을 사용하여 분석하였으며, 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아동기 정서적 학대, 내면화된 수치심, 폭식, 탈중심화 간 상관이 유의하였다. 둘 째, 아동기 정서적 학대와 폭식 간의 관계에서 내면화된 수치심의 매개효과가 유의하였다. 셋 째, 아동기 정서적 학대와 폭식 간의 관계에서 탈중심화의 조절효과가 유의하였다. 넷째, 내 면화된 수치심과 폭식 간의 관계에서 탈중심화의 조절효과는 유의하지 않았다. 다섯째, 아동 기 정서적 학대가 내면화된 수치심을 매개하여 폭식에 영향을 미치는 경로에서 탈중심화의 조절된 매개효과는 유의하지 않았다. 끝으로 본 연구의 의의, 한계점 및 추후 연구 방향에 대하여 논의하였다.
