This study emphasizes the importance of land use as a foundation for improving of urban mobility. Land readiness was evaluated by calculating an index based on indicators such as street connectivity, population density, and transit-oriented development (TOD) ratio. The results indicate that Ilsan New Town in Goyang City demonstrated excellent land readiness for mobility due to its high street connectivity and population density. Conversely, the administrative new town in Sejong City showed low land readiness due to low street connectivity and population density. Haeundae New Town in Busan also showed low land readiness due to low street connectivity. Jeonju City's Seobu New Town had a well-established street system but needed improvements in population density and TOD ratio. This study provides an operational definition and three land-readyness indicators to urban planning for improving of mobility.
