The purpose of this study is to examine the experiences and meaning of the participant's lives through the stories of participant who was sentenced to prison for crimes in his youth and was released as adult. There was one participant in the study, and the data collection period through in-depth interviews was conducted a total of three times from September 2022 to April 2023. This study was conducted through narrative inquiry, a perspective and methodology for studying experiences, following the suggestions of Clandinin and Connelly (2000). The meaning of life derived from the participant's story was 'a child who grew up on a ring', 'longing for the boundary, human', 'becoming an ordinary person', 'a ring that grew bigger beyond the collapsed boundary', 'ordinariness encountered at a dead end', ‘learning adult life amidst chaos’, ‘Absence of strong boundary’, and ‘breathtaking tightrope walking’. Based on these topics, personal justification, practical justification, and social justification were discussed, and the significance and suggestions of the study were described. The results of this study can provide an understanding of the relational aspect of the crime experience and provide implications for the counselor's role as an object of attachment and a boundary against crime in the counseling field.

본 연구는 청소년기 범죄로 인해 징역형을 받고 교도소에 수감 된 후 성인이 되어 출소한 참여자의 이야기를 통해 참여자 삶 의 경험과 의미에 대해 살펴보았다. 연구 참여자는 한 명이며 심 층 면담을 통한 자료 수집 기간은 2022년 9월부터 2023년 4월 까지이고 총 3회 진행되었다. 본 연구는 클래디닌과 코넬리 (Clandinin & Connelly, 2000)의 제안에 따라 경험을 연구하는 관점이자 방법론인 내러티브 탐구로 실행되었다. 참여자의 이야 기에서 도출해낸 삶의 의미는 ‘링 위에서 자란 아이’, ‘사람이라 는 울타리가 그리움’, ‘보통 사람 되기’, ‘무너진 울타리 너머 더 커진 링’, ‘막다른 길에서 만난 평범함’, ‘혼란 속 성인의 삶을 배 우는’, ‘든든한 울타리의 부재’, 아슬아슬한 줄타기’라는 8가지 주 제로 나타났다. 이러한 주제를 바탕으로 개인적 정당성, 실제적 정당성, 사회적 정당성을 논의하였으며, 연구의 의의와 제언을 서술하였다. 본 연구결과는 범죄 경험에 있어 관계적 측면에서의 이해를 제공해 상담현장에서 의미있는 타자로서의 애착 대상이 자 범죄에 대한 울타리로서의 상담자 역할에 대한 시사점을 제 공할 수 있을 것이다.
