This study is a systematic review of AI-based rehabilitation interventions for children and adolescents with disabilities. The databases used for the search include RISS, KISS, DBpia, and PubMed, covering scholarly articles published from 2000 to the present. Out of a total of 230 articles found, 216 were excluded based on the exclusion criteria, leaving 14 articles for final selection. The 14 selected articles included 2 randomized controlled trials, 1 non-randomized controlled trial, 1 one-group, 8 single-case studies, 1 survey study, and 1 qualitative study. AI-based rehabilitation methods used in these studies included AI speakers, AI-based robots, AI-based games, and digital art apps. The results and effects of the studies showed improvements in various areas, including overall language skills, satisfaction with and caregiving effects of AI robot activities, cognitive functions, daily living activities, motor and cardiopulmonary functions, and psychological functions. Through this, we aim to understand the current status of artificial intelligence application in the field of rehabilitation intervention for disabled children and adolescents and provide basic data on future use of artificial intelligence rehabilitation intervention and the direction of research.

본 연구는 장애아동 및 청소년의 인공지능(AI) 기반 재활 중재에 대한 체계적 고찰이다. 데이터 베이스는 RISS, KISS, DBpia, PubMed를 사용하여 2000년부터 2024년 현재까지 발표된 국내외 학술논문을 검색하였다. 검색 결과 총 230편의 논문 중에 배제기 준에 해당하는 216편을 제외하고 총 14편을 최종적으로 선정하였다. 본 연구에서 선정된 14편의 논문은 무작위 두 집단 실험연구는 2편, 비 무작위 두 집단 실험연구는 1편, 한 그룹 실험연구는 1편, 단일사례연구는 8편, 설문연구가 1편, 질적 연구가 1편이었다. 인 공지능 기반 재활중재방법으로 인공지능 스피커, 인공지능 기반 로봇, 인공지능 기반 게임과 디지털 아트 앱이 사용되었다. 연구 결 과와 효과는 전반적인 언어능력의 향상, 인공지능 로봇 활동에 대한 만족도와 돌봄 효과, 인지기능의 향상, 일상생활활동 향상, 운 동기능과 심폐기능 향상, 심리적 기능에 효과가 있었다. 이를 통해 장애아동 및 청소년의 재활 중재 분야에서 인공지능 적용의 현황 을 파악하고, 향후 인공지능의 재활 중재 활용방안과 연구의 방향에 대해 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다.
